Default The tale of the long lost table...

This is how my tale begins of my long lost table....

I once had a table at which I would play. The table was my friend and would encourage me in my craft of paper and ink. We would spend hours together putting together scrapbook albums and deciding on just the right papers to go with the photos of my beautiful family. But then something happened to me that changed my life forever. I joined the Splitcoast Stampers community and discovered so much about the stamping and scrapping world that I had been sheltered from before. My eyes were opened wide to new techniques and dozens of new companies tempting me with their wares. I joined countless swaps, therefore needing to accumulate more and more supplies to fulfill my commitments. Since then, my world has been a perpetual paper candy world.

My days are spent normal enough, upstairs running after kids. But when the children are asleep, I steal away to my secret place all my own in my unfinished basement to play. As my addiction grew, my space seemed to shrink and so, alas, the paper pile began to take over. My poor table has been missing for some time now and I must admit, I miss him so. I often lament about it's whereabouts. I forget what my table friend looks like and wonder if he ever thinks of me. And if he does think of me, does he miss me too, or is he angry that I have allowed him to disappear beneath the depths of my addiction.
But no, I'm sure my table understands and where ever he is, I'm sure he still loves me and knows that I will not rest until I find a way to uncover him!

Although it has been suggested to me that I simply quit buying and accumulating and only use the supplies that I currently own. I know that this suggestion is not given by a wise and seasoned crafter, but rather an unenlightened poor uncreative soul that does not know what the scrappers heart yearns for, like an unquenchable thirst. Therefor, this advice is quickly dismissed as I search longingly for yet another, more viable, solution.

It is at this moment that I, by mere chance, see my first ray of sunshine and breath of hope!! These magical words describing a contest giveaway so delightful, so amazing that I feel as though I am dreaming! Can it be true? Can one be so generous as to give away such an incredible gift to a drowning paper crafter such as myself? And so I apply in great earnest and hope for the best! Perhaps there is a chance that my table and I can be reunited once more!

I live in a 1130 square foot, 3 bedroom home with 5 other people so you can see why me and my passion have been banished to the basement and why there is an issue of space.

I am a very harried mother of 4 kids between the ages of 6 and 6months and I must admit that I have an addiction to paper, stamps, ribbon, flowers, ink and pretty much anything stamp and scrap related. The first step on my 12 step Scrapaholics Anonymous program is to admit the addiction.

Now I hope it's clear as to why this ScrapBox is so desperately needed and would be so gratefully accepted by me and my basement. Did I mention that October 16th is my 30th birthday? It would be so amazingly wonderful to have my very best birthday present in the whole world be announced on my 30th birthday (wink, wink, hint, hint)

So there you have it. My desperate plea and shameless begging, with horror pictures to follow.

Thank you so much for giving me the chance to present my case in this most awesome ever prize give away!!!

Ok ladies, here's the truth about me and my craft space. This may frighten some audiences so viewers discretion is advised!

These pictures are embarrassing, that's no lie, but if you want something bad enough you must shed off your pride and admit that you need help!

This is how my stamping spot looked before I cleaned it, LOL. At least you have a nice warm carpet as opposed to my dirty mud room floor that is impossible to keep clean.

I know you're right, it's my own fault, I have organizational issues. After seeing what other people deal with, I really don't think I deserve to win, although I'd love it, there are others who need it more then me, maybe 2nd place could be a self-help book, lol!!

Thank you so much for having this contest. The last two nights I've felt really motivated and after I put the kids to bed I didn't scrap or stamp, I just cleaned! I've got mostly everything organized and put away. I still have 2 boxes of paper that I haven't put away yet because I ran out of shelf space, but the table has been found and I feel so happy. I now realize that I have lots of space and I can be removed from the contest because I'd really like someone who needs it badly to win.

But please pick someone who has been playing fairly and not been hurtful to others that are trying to win!!
