Default Michaels Penny Sale

The current Michaels flyer has Recollections storage on buy 1 get 1 for a penny. I am wondering if anyone knows if that includes the JetMax storage, as that's what the picture on the website shows, or does Recollections now make JetMax storage type of stuff??? Thanks for any help!

Yes. They are exactly the same thing but Michaels sells theirs as Recollections.

Cool! I bought some in Canada at Michaels and I'm heading to the US and wanted to pick up some more, so that's great........they should be the same size! Any idea on cost? (Just to prepare myself!)

I think they are 29.99-34.99. I am pretty sure the file folder one is 39.99. I have always gotten mine when they were on sale or with a 40% or 50% off coupon so I didn't pay too much attention to the price.

I got the file folder yesterday and it was $39.99 regular. I also got the 3 drawer one ($34.99) They were just about out of the Recollections brand but the salesperson told me they were selling the Simply Made (or Built, can't remember the name) brand on the 1 cent sale also. It is exactly the same. I did see some JetMax too but I don't know if they were on.

You are right. They are Simply Built but the same exact thing as the JetMax.

I am putting the file cabinet together today and now I know why I'm not house builder. "Oops, sorry folks, the door to your new house is on the roof". let's just say I have had to unscrew a few pieces.;)

Post about the quality of this please. Will it hold a lot of weight? I'd love to use them for holding bills, receipts and such like an office filing cabinet. But I'm concerned about them not holding the weight of the files. thank you in advance!

I am very pleased with them. They are very sturdy and I have a lot of paper in the hanging folder one. You do have to lift up the drawer slightly as you pull it out to counteract the weight and help it to slide smoothly. HTH.

I also have realized that those cubes should be on the bottom. Since they do hold a lot of paper they can get heavy and if you don't have on the bottom they will want to tip forward when you open the draw. If on the bottom you can use the floor to support when opened. I learned that the hard way.

FYI - I didn't realize this until I purchased them and assembled them - but each individual drawer is open at the bottom - the only thing holding the weight of the paper in the hanging files are those two tiny little arms/hooks to the file folders - if you accidentally place a slice of paper in between the hanging files it will keep on going. Just so you know...

They are lighter than regular file cabinets as a result I think, but I am sorry I bought them instead of more the 4 drawer units - LOVE those!
