Default Portable Storage for Distress Oxide Ink Pads

Looking for suggestions for how you store you distress oxide ink pads. I often use mine while at a crop so I am looking for portable options. Thanks

I use Totally Tiffany's Edna bags. If you look at the "More Photos" tab at the 12th photo, that's how mine are stored. If you'd rather they be upright due to how you pack, see photo 13. There's a video tab too, though it doesn't show inks.

They're out of stock but I'd guess they'll be back soon since it's a standard item. But you can email or call them and ask if you're interested. Link:

Organize ribbon rolls, inks, scrapbooking, stamping, embossing supplies

Please forgive me if this is a silly question, but I’m still a newbie at forums... Where can I find the “more photos” tab? I’ve looked around, but can’t find it. Thanks.

I store mine stacked in a plastic shoebox. It has a lid so would be super easy to travel with.

Not silly at all - we all were newbies until we weren't.

Just click on the link I put in the post. (Or if you're on a tablet, tap on it.) The link starts with the words "Organize ribbon rolls. That will bring you to the Totally Tiffany website page that shows the Edna bag. You'll see the tabs there. Yell if you don't find them.

Thanks so much to bjeans... I had not realized that was a link since it wasn’t underlined on my iPad. I followed your instructions and found it right away. That looks like an excellent solution. I love that the whole bag is clear so you can easily find what you are looking for

Glad you found it - and like it. Pasted links here are bold but not underlined - I think always but maybe not? lol Don't ever hesitate to ask questions on SCS - everyone is helpful.

Totally Tiffany products are also sold at Joann's and on hsn.com (24 hour craft day on March 7th ... good prices if inventory lasts usually $5 shipping for ALL craft purchases made during the sale)

Just thought I should make a comment on the storage of the pads-one of Tims videos from when they were released made it clear they MUST be stored flat, something to do with the formulation of the ink, and it separating if stored on their sides. I'm sure they'd be fine for a short time while transporting them somewhere, but don't keep them on their sides any longer than necessary.

Absolutely, good reminder, Shaz. The Edna bag allows stacking the inks one on top of the other in a tower, or in 3 rows across (which I do) of 4 or even 5 high, depending on your crafting space or how you pack for a class, etc. Picture #12 in the More Photos tab shows them across, though they have re-inkers in extra space. #13 shows them in a tower.

The video shows the plastic insert that fits into the bag to give it structure. This little bag isn't for everyone, obviously, but I've found it handy and very secure when I had to take inks to a class.
