Default Job ticket Holders for cardstock storage

I use Uline brand Vinyl Envelopes. For 8.5x11 I bought the 9x12 inch size. I cut off the end with the hole for hanging. I love them.
$20 per carton of 50.
Better deal than the Office Depot brand.

Thanks for sharing the link and info. My paper is already corralled satisfactorily, but I can see how this would be a good option. Also, thanks for reminding me about Uline - they have a lot of really useful items at decent prices!

Nice find, thanks! I use job ticket holders for so much: paper, projects, cards/samples with instructions, etc.

I have Office Depot's and Avery's. If needing a small number, Avery's are $6.29 for 10 on Amazon with free shipping for Prime members (an add-on).

I just switched to these recently. I was able to get up to around 40 sheets in one.

Sounds right. Extra thick cardstock might be less.I've easily used almost 100 of these and need/want some more, so 40 cents each at Uline was the best deal for me.

While I would like to order one pack from Uline, the shipping cost for the $20 pack is over $16.00! Am I missing something in the fine print?

I was just looking into these and decided to come here to see if anyone has experience with them. It's a bit of an initial expense, but I've been using regular manila file folders and they get really beat up.

This is my current system, after I purged a lot of colors. I

It looks so nice! Are you sure you want to change to job ticket holders? That's what my colored CS is in, and I love the system, but they're on a shelf in magazine holders (like Jennifer McGuire's), and the opening is at the top - the 9" side, not the 12". So you wouldn't have as easy access as you do now.

It seems like your system with plastic folders would maintain what you have perfectly, and the folders wouldn't get beat up.

I use Office Depot/Max job ticket holders and Avery. I like the Office Depot ones a bit better. The Avery job ticket holders may be a little thicker/stronger but I haven't found the added strength to matter, and they have an odor - like new beach balls jut out of the packaging. It's a little strong, but does dissipate. There was no shipping charge for Avery (Amazon Prime) and Office Depot is nearby or may have had free delivery - I don't remember.

Office Depot's are $17.98 for 40 (two 20 packs).

Avery on Amazon are 10 for $5.98 so 40 would be $23.96, free shipping for Prime. They may be less expensive elsewhere.

I'm set up more like you, Sue. Except mine is all in hanging files in three low carts with wheels that I slide under my tables. Underneath the bar for hanging the folders on each cart are two metal drawers which I use for backup cardstock. I've had this system for many years, and it's worked so well I've never thought of changing it. (Unlike many other systems I've had for other types of supplies, some of which I'm still fooling around with or are stuck and perplexed about.)

Looks like your cardstock purge was successful! I would say you and I have about the same number of colors. For me, it's plenty.

Yeah, I'm talking myself out of it. Maybe I just need plastic file folders.

In case you go that route, Smead makes poly folders that look like standard manila folders. It's nice to have the tabs too. They come in colors; the plain ones cost more. They show all colors plus white with colored tabs on their website.

I'm glad you posted - I had been looking for plain plastic folders without pockets or clasps, so this motivated me to find them. Good reviews on both sites.

I was debating over converting from manila folders to job ticket holder but I decided on the 4 ml, 10 x 12 reclosable bags by Plymor. I got 200 bags for $45 and they fit a lot of cardstock. I use plastic magazine holders and lay them on their side so I can see the colors and access them easily.

I ordered two packs ($40) and shipping was $11 to my office. Worked for me. I lay mine on their sides (12" side is horizontal) and they are visible and pretty. If I see them I'll more likely use them.
