Default Free Storage!

I don't mind spending money on supplies I need, but when it comes to storage, I'm a real cheapskate. So I decided to put all those Amazon boxes piling up in my garage to good use.

Attached are two sets of shelves I made from the boxes and some painters tape. I didn't aim for pretty - just function. I could have painted them or covered with paper, but I wanted them finished!

One set is for my Distress inks, the other is for paint and Distress stains. I actually have more paint, so.... I'll have to make another one! I mounted the ink shelves to my table with the painters tape (they tend to tip over), and the paint storage to the side of my book shelf with foam tape. No drilling - yay.

Each set of shelves took me about 1/2 hour. I used a glue gun to put it together. You would also need a straight edge or ruler, craft or box knife and scissors. That's it!

PS Sorry the pics are sideways. That's how they uploaded.

Thanks for sharing this great idea. I love it when I can repurpose things rather than tossing them in the trash.

I probably could have put an addition on my house if I glued together all the Amazon boxes I've received over the past three or four years. Never thought to do anything with them. Excellent and creative idea and kudos to you for keeping all that cardboard out of the landfill!

Wouldn't they be recycled?

I could stand on a soapbox about the amount of energy resources it takes to recycle. But that's a discussion for another day.
