Family Heritage
As a Navy wife (now retired, thank goodness!), I spent a lot of lonely hours after the children were tucked away for the night. I turned to crafts to wile away those hours until my husband would return safely. I taught myself how to cross stitch first and other crafts soon followed.
A few years ago, I attended a scrapbook party and fell in love. I quickly made a family album for that year and my mother was enthralled. She begged me to take the photos she had accumulated in drawers and "do something" with them.
What an honor and a thrill when I realized I now had possession of old family photos! I discovered a picture of my grandfather (who had passed away when I was four months old) and I've been determined to preserve these photos since then.
Now, my craft closet has become crammed with everything I think I need to create these wonderful family albums. Even though I still cross stitch at night while "watching" TV, the closet has exploded with my new hobby. My guest bedroom closet is now dedicated to holding my supplies and is quickly losing the battle for space.
The Workbox would allow me to redecorate the guest room to accommodate both guests and my passion. Help me out please! Allow me to continue preserving memories my family can enjoy.:-D
Thank you,
