Yes Evernote is amazing I got hooked on it last summer, I still have lots to do (punches dies half done) but you'll love it. My Stamps are done and easier to find, refreshes your mind you of what is in your stash, much easier to find since tagged! I think there is only 2 versions the free and the paid for. The paid version allows you to use Evernote even if you don't have internet access plus allows you to put more info on per month, the free version is quite generous though.

I would recommend you check this link (not mine) that explains the program quite well for crafting purposes, Ink On My Whiskers: Creating a Stamp Index Using Evernote[/url]

Here's the link to download to a computer...there are also apps for the iPhone and Android!

EVERNOTE

There is also a HUGE thread on this forum with LOTS of notebook sharing here...

EVERNOTE file sharing thread

I shared my notebooks (mostly SU stuff) on post #81....

Evernote has a limit on how much you can upload each month....every month, it will reset. Because I was inputting so much, and didn't have the patience to wait until the next month, I actually upgraded to the premium version. You can go Premium for just a month (to allow you to finish adding your stash) or you can upgrade by year.

If anyone is interested, please use this link to join....it will earn me points and you'll get Premium FREE for one month!!

Thanks for sharing the links for Evernote... I had seen this mentioned a couple of times, but keep forgetting to research!

I currently have lists of what dies and Cricut carts I have in a Word document, not very effective so the ideas listed here are wonderful. I don't have too many stamps or punches yet so I probably should begin tracking those too before I have a bunch!

All I do is a single page excel file for SU ink pads, refills, markers and cs. I keep a listing on that page of what's retired, and update it when things change and the new InColors come out. I used to keep a list of ribbons, but I don't have all that much and prefer to just go thru the actual ribbon. I'm pretty good at not duplicating anything since I don't buy anything until I check what I have.

I have an app on my Android phone called Inventory Droid. it's nice because I can scan the barcode and it searches Google for the item.

Because Close To My Heart doesn't USE barcodes, I decided to inventory my stamp sets with Excel. I write down the Item number and the name of the item. I am wanting to get images of the stamp sets, and place them in a notebook so I can flip through that instead of the stamps themselves.

I catalog most of my supplies (e.g., inks, stencils, Copics) using Evernote. I create a checklist for each type of item and "check" off the ones that I have. When shopping in a brick & mortar store, I can access Evernote from my phone. I haven't bought a duplicate item since I started using Evernote, and the powerful search capabilities help me find supplies & stamps quickly.

OMG... I LOVE Evernote! So nice to have the images on my phone so I can see if I have any similar stamps or dies while I'm out shopping. Saves me from having too many sketchy butterflies or skinny chevrons or whatever in my collection! Wonderfully helpful.

I also have a notebook with the front and back jackets of all of my sewing patterns - it's nice to always have the yardage estimates for all of my patterns if I run into a good fabric sale!
