Default Alphabetizing Stamp Sets...help!

Hi Everyone! I am wondering if there is a way in Microsoft Word to have the program alphabetize stamp sets for you. I have so many now that I can't remember what I have and I REALLY want to organize and thought If I could list them out, maybe I'd use them more. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!

I think you'd have to create a table. Even if you just make it one column, you can enter each set in a row of its own and then do a sort on that one column. Are you familiar with tables? I know they can be intimidating, lol, and I've got an older version of Word!

If you're familiar with Excel you could do it in a spreadsheet. In addition to the name you could add other info in each column, for example set #, Category (floral, sentiment, etc), perhaps how much you paid (for quick reference if you decided to sell it), catalog year you bought it. This way you in addition to sorting by set name you could also list them by category, or other ways you might be interested in grouping them.

I have all my stamps indexed into excel spread sheets by name, manufacture and cost. Since I assign my stamps sets numbers, colors and categories, I have quite a few options for sorting my data depending on what I need at the time.

Default Sorting

You can use the sort command from Word without using a table.
