Instead of hanging them, I took a LARGE mirror frame (with no mirror, of course) and decorated it. Then I "screwed" the ribbon keeper into place. One of my favorite tools is the Ryobi cordless drill kit. LOL!!

These are wallpaper paste trays I purchased at Menard's. Plastic hooks with sticky backs wouldn't hold them up because my walls are textured. There is a sort of grooved lip around the edge of the trays that slip nicely over the nails I hammered into the wall.

I put pieces of rain gutter on the wall in my craft room and put the ribbon in them. It is cheap and great!

This forum has been very helpful to me. i used to store my spools of ribbon by type and color in 4 make-shift boxes that I put together with tape covered with contact paper and separated into three rows each. Needless to say, a ribbon lover like me soon found that I didn't have enough room even stuffing rolls along the sides and edges so had to store some in additional bins in the hall closet. This really ran against my organizational grain, so I chose to use plastic guttering as was mentioned by several posters. I had great experiences with the stuff in my classroom for display of the theme books for the current unit. I also like the clothespin/doll pin idea for small pieces, never liking the glass jar of jumbled ribbon that I had used in the past. So, having the back of the door to my craft room that I could clear off for use, below is a picture of the result. Used Command Strip hooks to hold them and DH made the wooden holder with acrylic plates to hold the pins. So far I'm in love with the system. Everything easily viewed and assessable.

I use Becca's technique and have 6 drawers full of those "spools" I also have a 4 shelf organize more for the rolls of SU ribbon. I also have Amuse and PTI spools in another set of plastic drawers--yes, I loooooovvvvveeeee ribbon!

I really like all of these methods and each has its own place in my craft room.

Thank you Brenda71 for your response to another person about ribbon storage awhile back and it was still posted! I was looking for the same type of supplies, looked at Organizemore.com website, which turned out to be a blessing to for my wants for storage/organizing...with much appreciation to you! Suzanne

I love Jeanne's storage! So cool! I repurposed an old VCR tape wooden holder. It has two rows, and I have the spools on there (holds a lot), and the lose ribbons are in jars by color on a shelf. Also keep 2 large jars for small bits of ribbon that I won't normally use on a card, but use them for other purposes.

I got these notched cards from Magistical Memories. Not sure they're around anymore. They fit perfectly at 2 across in an artbin case. Here's how mine are stored. I have about a dozen of these boxes full of ribbon, felt ribbon and lace.

I store my ribbon a couple of different ways. Small pieces (a yard or less) will go into a large pickle jar. You can see through it and just reach in there and grab a piece that you're looking for. The rolls and spools are stored in on of those Jetmax organizer cubes (with the drawer and the shelf combo), but am quickly outgrowing that! May look at getting one to mount to my wall.
