Peg-type stamp storage

Does anyone have a good storage solution for those peg-type stamps? They look similar to these:

I don't have any myself, but I think I might look around for a lipstick/lip gloss holder.

Something like this.

I just have mine in a jar short enough for the pegs to stick out a bit. A short, metal flower pot or other container would work too.

Mine are skinny so I think they’d wobble in most stands, and I wanted something compact and easy to grab and to be able look down to see each design at the top.

If I had a lot I’d just get two containers and split them in some logical way but don’t have that many. (I had an alpha set in a separate container but gave those away.)

I know that many of them fit well in ammunition boxes:

Since they come in different sizes for the different gauges, make sure you take one of the stamps with you if/when you go looking. I like this method because it lets you have one stamp per "space", so they're easy to see and easy to grab. I have one alphabet stamp set stored this way (three before one of my purges), and another just in a decorative box short enough for the stamps to be accessible - I'm pretty sure it was a gift box for jewelry or something. A tuna can or something along those lines would work, too.

The Frugal Crafter uses a lot of peg stamps (I think she might design some too?). Here's a video she did on storage:

Oh wow. The still image on the embedded video. I have no words. I can only apologize to the readers AND Lindsay! lol

I use a tin that is just a little more than half the height of my peg stamps. Takes up very little space and keeps them all together. Works well for me as it makes using them an "at a glance" process when creating something.

I just bought 4 plastic covered boxes at HL that is both tall enough and large enough to hold my "current" peg stamps. I want a box that would hold them upright and and have a lid so I could close it and take with me without them spilling.

I use something like this:

Mine are clear, and the compartments make it easy to sort however you like. Though there's no cover, the handle makes it easy to transport.

I use Stampin' Up!'s clear wood stamp boxes. Either the DVD type or the wider. Judith Stamps has many of these peg type of stamps, and they fit perfectly in these and then store on my shelf along side the regular stamps.

Dollar Tree has all kinds of boxes and baskets that work. Sandy Parker from the vlog “crafting for almost everyone” recommended some I already had from Dollar Tree. The boxes have a lid that splits and hinges on each side. They’re just the right depth. I don’t have quite enough peg stamps to fill one, so I stuck some other small container down in the box to make sure they all stand up. If you wanted to get all fancy, you could make dividers for the box, using cereal box board or the like.

Ok I bit the bullet (haha pun intended) and went to the Academy Store, our local hunting and fishing store. And bought 3 of the bullet holders. I even took my peg stamps with me. They fit great and under 4 or 5 dollars too. Thanks gregzgurl.
