Smile Clean and simple storage of spellbinder dies

I put some time into my organization of my metal dies (spellbinders, cheery lynn, etc.) I am very pleased with the results. I wanted to share them with you! Maybe this system will work for you! Click below to see pictures!

Nice idea! Isn't it great when you finally find something that works for you? I started storing my dies by adhering magnetic strips to the back of the packages like you do. Then I put them in a short plastic divider folder. That worked great but I outgrew it. I have a few plastic 3 ring storage cases like Taylored Expressions. I made my own pages with vent covers and use them for storage. I am out of the binders and I am too cheap to buy more. So now I am planning on making magnetic panels like what I have in the binders and will be putting them in a tall plastic storage container I bought at the dollar store recently. It will be very similar to yours. I am looking forward to this set up because I think the ability to just grab the holder and flip through them will be really convenient. Ahh, the ever evolving die storage trials Thanks for sharing!

I always like to see new ideas to compare with what I'm currently doing, to see if the new one looks like it will work better. I'll probably stick with what I've got, but this is a great solution!

I do something similar...

I have trimmed the cards from the package down just a little bit, mounted them on uniform size pieces of cardstock, and then laminated the whole shebang. After that, I cut pieces of magnet sheets like you did and put them on the back. Mine are in a card storage box I've had for ages. It's like the photo boxes you can get everywhere, but a bit larger...maybe 5x7 instead of 4x6 size? I LOVE being able to flip through and see everything clearly!

I did the same thing to ALL my dies, SU! included. I even have eliminated all the cute snap-closure pouches because they take up too much room. Only problem? That box is getting mighty heavy!
