I use a Smash book to store my ideas, sayings and quotes, mini album instructions and card instructions. I put them in there with no organizationat all. So I decided to make another one. I have a Zutter and even an old fashioned office Binder machine. I found a spiral bound notebook with design card stock in it. It had cute pocket pages and shaped pages too. Although the cover was a bit flimsy, I figured I could use chip board and make my own cover. Right? Sure I could. Old fashioned machine would not take my covered chip board (too thick) neither would the Zutter. So I recovered a thinner chip board and the machine took it. BUT the holes did not align with the pages and it was not sturdy enough. *sigh* Ok I will hand punch each and every hole with my Cropadile. Both covers done. LOL < maniacal laughter. The spiral is too small to turn the pages with the added thickness of the cover. Ok I can adjust. I put (red) zip ties through each 48 holes. Whew. Then I cut out or used my Undu to move the instructions and ides to the new book. Was it worth it? IDK We'll see. Rant over.
Sounds like the domino effect that happens every time I get an idea that will "improve" something in my system, lol - I definitely feel your pain. I have to say, though, that you stayed with it longer than I would have, for sure! I suffer from OS ("ooh...shiny!")...
You think fast on your feet! I am with Sue. I would not have stuck with it that long either. I think you get extra point for endurance and determination!
