Brother P-touch Label Maker for $10

I just got the heads up about this on another forum; I've been wanting one of these forever. So I flew to Staples, not realizing they were already closed.

I actually went up to the door and knocked. And someone actually came to the door. I told him I only needed 1 little thing and asked if he would let me in. He was very gracious and not only let me in, but found the label maker for me. Service above and beyond!


Anyway, just wanted to let you know in case you're in the market for a label maker. I think Office Depot may have these on sale also.

I love my P-touch too (it's been around here for about 10 years). I went to look at the one you bought to see if it would be worth upgrading to more features. The one you bought definitely is a HUGE upgrade!

However, I much prefer the price on my tape cartridges at $8 each. I'll keep my old one around for now.

PS...the service of your Staples employee is the kind of service that brings me back to a store again and again. Kudos to him!

I love my P Touch but I stock up on the tapes at Sam's because they are nearly $20 at Michaels and they won't take coupons on Brother items. My model is the PT-1290. Looks like a little typewriter and easy to use.

I could not get to Office Depot / OfficeMax earlier this week and by the time I went there - the sale was over. I have a smaller demo labeler .... But still .... Really wanted the p touch that everyone raves about. So bummed

Keep your eyes peeled. They are on sale all.the.time, especially around the holidays. (I think, as with many things, the machines themselves are loss leaders and they make the real money in accessories, like the tape!)
