Default Ribbon storage box and winder

I have searched everywhere for that plastic ribbon storage box and winder combo. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? The box is rectangular, not very deep, and holds dozens of spools of the rewound ribbon.

I just bought that at the Creative Keepsakes Convention a few weeks ago at the booth where they sold the Stackables cabinet. Now I just need to wind my ribbon and move it into the box. It will save so much space.

Has anyone you know used this and do they like it? I am thinking about getting it but just wanted to hear some likes and dislikes first.

It looks pretty cool. How long can you pull from a stored spool before you need to rewind it again?

Yes, that is what I was looking for! Thanks for all of your replies.

I had all of my ribbon spools on dowels on the wall. This was working until I noticed they were getting dusty. I wanted to see if I could replicate that ribbon box with what I had. I rolled all of my ribbon onto bamboo skewers cut to the width of the ribbon and hot glued chipboard circles on the sides to make my own spools. They fit perfectly into a plastic box with dividers, and I only have a few more rolls of ribbon to wind. I know I could have done the "Amazing Grace" method of winding on cards, but I know after a while the ribbon close to card will get creased. And I hate creased ribbon.

I started moving some of my ribbon spools to my ribbon storage box. The directions say that a compartment will hold up to 4feet. I have a lot of ribbon spools that I purchased from Michaels that are 5 feet, so they will not fit unless I have used part of that spool. I do love using it for the ones that fit because it takes up so much less room. I wish that it was a bit bigger so it would hold those larger spools of ribbon, too.

Thanks. I did wonder about that. I'm thinking of getting it and I do have some smaller rolls. I really wish I could buy it in less quantity. I love some of SU ribbon but really hate to have a roll around for years. LOL

I have the winder and love it.. but I use the cropper hopper embellishment boxes because you can fit so much more ribbon in them.. and they take up so little space!!

Default Ribbon holders

I bought mine at Js. They're in the sewing storage section. They hold the larger spools. Can't remember how much they were but with a coupon they were pretty inexpensive.

If you go to Inkyantics.com they have a video showing how to use the ribbon spooler and they also sell them.
