I am in the process of converting my SU original cases to the new cases. Right now I am using a lot of the Recollections cubes I got at Michaels or get-organize.com but they are so deep, I'd have to double up (one in back one in front) and thus hiding the name of the set on the spine for the one in the back - or leave them single and let space go unused just to see the name. I'm principally opposed to not taking advantage of all space when organizing. LOL I've thought of using a DVD./CD media storage cabinet, but want to keep with the white cabinet theme.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone using a good system to store these? I previously used baskets but didn't find it very effective and made it difficult to find what I wanted.
I just lined mine up on a shelf in alphabetical order before I separated all of the stamps into themes (all of the butterflies together, all of the hearts together, etc.) You could also get a "media tower" like THIS - maybe you could find one in white or paint it...?
If I understand correctly, the inside measure on the cubes is about 12 inches. Could you make a "shelf" for the back half of the cube that would raise the back stamp boxes up to near the top of the cube. If a stamp box is around 7 inches tall, then the back "shelf" of boxes would have 5 of those 7 inches exposed. You should be able to see the bulk of the edge that way.
I would try it with something like a kleenex box for your "shelf" to raise the back stamps up higher.
Or make a foamcore "box" to set them on.
This picture shows how someone built those foamcore shelves to raise up what was in back. Obviously she made several steps because she was doing this for paint bottles, but the idea is the same.

thanks! I actually thought of that too but was wondering what I could use to make a shelf for the back row. I know that I can use the smaller cases for the small sets on some shelves but I'm limited. I will definitely look into this idea!! Thank you!
