Default Copic Storage... revisited...

I have a mixture of Original and Sketch. I have seen all of the great ideas for storage/toting here(and other sites too) but most are for one type or the other, not good for both. I have a tiny area in my dining room right now, and I need to be able to move them around easily, and I also like to take them to crops/classes.

I'd like to be able to put them in numerical order and have them stay that way. Right now I have them in a CTMH stamp box but as of tonight, I've outgrown it! LOL

I have about 110 markers so investing in the big Copic tote isn't really wise just yet. I do want need something that I can "grow into" but nothing too big, if that makes sense!

Any ideas?

Those are both really great... unfortunately, they use the light grid, and it doesn't fit the original (square barrel) copics. :(

Have you thought about using plastic canvas instead of the light mesh? The "holes" can be cut to accommodate the size of a regular Copic and/or Sketch. If you glue two together it should be a lot more sturdy than a single sheet of plastic canvas.

You might also check the plumbing section for plastic tubing (used for icemakers, etc.). It comes in different diameters and you could cut to a standard length then glue them together in a honeycomb pattern. Out of 36" you could probably get 9 segments if you cut them 4 inches long. I believe the tubing is fairly reasonable. I bought some to use as spacers for the rack I made utilizing the light grid.

You guys are all so INGENIOUS!
Right now, my 55 Sketch markers and single blender refill are in a mini craft tote. It works for me now, but eventually I'd like to have something with a grid so I can keep my markers in numerical order. I'm going to have to think on this a bit.

I think I've made a decision!! I know you are all just waiting to know, right? LOL!!

I'm going to go the "down spout" route! I'll cut pieces of a gutter/downspout and use them as the compartments in my box. I'll post pics once I get it just right.
