Craft Desktop Organization

Just a couple hints I wanted to share.

I have anything I use frequently within arms reach. Anything I use weekly where I might have to get up, but not far away, and finally anything I use less frequently the farthest away from my desktop.

Second, one of my favorite things is from postalproducts.com and I think is number N1016058. I don't see well and am ot positive about that number. It is the metal tape dispenser the post office uses on their counter for tape with a 3" core. It holds up to 2" of tape widths. I have a roll of foam core tape, 3 sizes of Sookwang tape, and a roll of 1/4" painters tape. In addition, I have put some magnets on the side of mine and I return my scissor snips there after each use and they are never buried under paper or lost. Also use these magnets as temporary storage of thin dies in between cuts.

Hope this eliminates some frustration for you, as it did for me. If you have any secrets you would like to share, please comment.

I have a cabinet with a pull out workspace. It doesn't allow me to have tall storage at all. And I was thinking I would really like to have all these things I use all the time right there so it was easy to grab. But my problem is that my workspace is basically 24 x 42 inches. And all the little drawer organizer thingies full of stuff took up a whole lot of the space. I had a too-small space to work.

So, I removed a lot. I kept 3 of those bins with my clear blocks, adhesives, and versamark/memento inks, plus my stamp cleaning pad. The rest went to the shelving nearby or into my drawers. That leaves me a LOT more room to work. I bought a spinning organizer and put lots of my tools in it...but it has to go on the shelving nearby. It's good for the body to get up and move, right?

I love those tape dispensers like you have! I had one at the library when I worked there that held about 8 or 9 inches of rolls. Wonderful!

I love those spinner holders too. I have a couple on my talbe. I am really lucky to have a room 11'x17' and a table 4'x8'. But, I have so much on my table I have a workspace of only12x24". It's hard for me to keep enough room to work. I am a very sloppy stamper! Clutter just seems to accumulate.

Scor-Pal has a couple of similar tape dispensers also. Item #s are 1002 and 1003.

I have the Workbox with most everything right at my finger tips. Closes up to look like a furniture cabinet when not in use

Oh, I'm slightly jealous! Now I'm not complaining because I do have a very nice craft room...not beautiful, but functional, yet I'd love to have the Workbox so I could be in the living room with my husband...sometimes😊
