Default storing unmounted wood stamps?

Looking for suggestions of how to store rubber stamps that were previously on wood blocks and have now been made clear mount. Some are singles, and some were previously part of SU sets.

What do you have them mounted on inside the envelopes?

I first started adding poster puddy to them attaching them to tranparancy scraps I got at an office supply store (for free since it was there scraps-trash). Then when I use them I put 2 temporary glue dots on them to attach to a block. You need 2 to keep them from tristing. Then I just stick back on with the temporary dot. Some I just put them in the envelope as with it skinny they stacked on top of each other.

I also use the Avery Elle type envelopes, but buy them from Simon Says Stamp. Here is a link: Simon Says Stamp Clear STORAGE SLEEVES 50 Quantity SLV50 at Simon Says STAMP!

If, by "clear mount", you mean that they have cling foam on them, I have all of mine on laminated cardstock cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and slipped into that size of page protectors. They can either be lined up in a bin or put into binders - I've done both ways just fine. All of my rubber is bare, though (no foam). You may need to trim the cardstock by 1/8" - 1/4" on each side to give some "wiggle room" to account for the thickness of the stamps...

Sue, how are you attaching your naked rubber stamps to a block or the MISTI?
TIA

I have 2-way glue on the back. I LOVED Sailor chisel-tip glue marker, but they discontinued it. Then I LOVED AdTech tape runner, but they changed the formula. I'm currently using Tack It Over and Over, but I'm not loving it. Someone mentioned another product called Mount It or something like that, but I haven't checked it out yet...

I don’t want to do jillion’s of stamps, and then find out there is a fatal flaw in my system.
Hi lynnewithane, I know it's been a year since you responded with this post... but does your system still work? Was it a fatal flaw?

Keeping the original rubber and putting the SU stickers straight on the permanent SU rubber and painting with TIOO?

All of my SU stamps are still unmounted.
And I will only be stamping with a Misti/stamp positioner/acrylic block.

I've also got to figure out how to line up the image to the stamp with perfect precision.

Thanks lots!
Sandy

Great tips, Robin. Thank you.
Several years ago, I started converting my wood mount stamps. I have a ton of them! I was basically doing as you showed, with peeling it off the wood, and putting the sticker on. But, I was then using the Tack it Over, which was messy, took quite a while, and sometimes made the sticker curl. When I feel in the mood, I’m going to try the leftovers from my new sets. Great idea! At the time, I bought a case of the cd cases, and tried to put two similar sets in one case. I just might do the rest in pockets.
I used to think I’d make home decor with the wood blocks, but now I think they’re going in my daughter’s fire pit.
