Cheap ink pad storage
I just discovered that the Kashi TLC chewy granola boxes (25 count) will hold 10 SU ink pads horizontally or 11 vertically. Great for my DD's stamp desk! Of course, the way I'm adding to my ink collection, I might need a couple for myself, too!

Wow - Costco will have a run on those and not know why! :) TFS!

Yikes! I should have gotten mine before posting! ;)

I use the K cup boxes for the Keuirg coffee makers to hold my stampin up pads

I use that coffee so I could have a couple of those boxes in no time. Do you cover them with cardstock or DP? How many will each one hold? TIA Estelle |
I use that coffee too, so I could have a box or two in a few days.

I found an old wooden cassette tape holder that is 5 across by 20 down (holds 100 stamp pads) at a yard sale for $2. It fit PERFECTLY inside a hutch I have on my desk. It couldn't be more perfect for me!!

I always keep my eye out for cassette storage units at Goodwill. I found some really nice wooden ones for $1.99 & $2.99. There are so many styles & not all will accomodate all style pads. For example Memories ink pads are thicker than Ranger's. So when I'm looking for storage for a particular brand of pads, I keep one in my car to test before buying a unit.
I also watch for video tape cases. I remove the little 'stems' inside & store my small pads (spots, cat's eyes, teardrops) by color family in them. When I wasn't coming across empty ones to buy for 99 I had a duh moment when I realized I could buy one with a movie in it for the same price! |
