Exactly Melissa...that's how I feel. )
That is why I really know that I am suppose to have this Scrapbox, the wonderful organizational item....I have some major projects coming up for the church ministry I supply for within in the next 2 weeks. I am dreaming my way through them as I believe when the November project comes...I will already know I will have that Scrapbox.
I believe this is the time intended for me to come out of that Closet!!
I carry a Craft magazine with a picture of the Scrapbox in it to work and home with me EVERYDAY..BELIEVING (which I found while cleaning and didn't know I had).
Thanks for your understanding.

reading back to the beginning...you don't need the wife swap show...you need the clean sweep show...they can get your room in working order and do custom built shelves/storage for your myriad of stuff...and me, well, of course I'll have my brand new Scrapbox...

WOW! I can't believe I never saw your pictures. I just looked at them. Amazing room. You have the longest shelves I have ever seen. You know what I am really all for you getting organized. You are right you really need to be. I got it....
I will take those horses off your hands that you have on the top shelf. My daughter sooo Loves Horses!! Then, you can take all the stuff on top of your stamp table and put it up there on top of that shelf. Voila!! Organization - thank you very much.
I Really need that Scrapbox more than you I have a 27" x 6' space to work in. And it's kind of dark and my legs hurt alot.

Sorry those horses were mine when I was little so they are going on over 40 years old. Some of them are a little valuable. I would not let my son play with them. Yeah my hubby made the shelves for me. I dont put stamps on the top shelve cause I couldnt get to them.
BUT I do have the perfect place for my Scrapbox.. Besides the Scrapbox wouldnt fit in your space...

Scrapbox Scrapbox oh how I love thee..
Let me count the ways....
1. I would love thee in my c-room.
2. I would love thee full of my favorite things...
3. I would cherish thee and not let any kids put their dirty paws all over it.
4. I would bow down to it every morning...
5. I would create beautiful cards and scrap pages...
5 and more to come..

You know you must be in this with Creativepzazz, you both really are making this so hard for me to be serious.
I'm cracking up everytime I read your posts. LOL
Now I can see using the wrong side of the ruler if I was measuring the closet..it's kind of dark in there. But believe it or not there are 3 sets of lights on the ceiling near that space! They should have skimped on my lighting and added shelves but didn't and every shelf in the house has a great chance of falling due to them not being hung right. My husband had to re hang at least 3 sets so far....so that's why I need that Scrapbox!! I need it more than anyone!!
(Darn..just stomped my foot and crushed the wrapping paper!)

Well I was hoping you were laughing.. Life is too short to be serious all the time. I was cracking with one lady and she took it serious and got pretty nasty with me in a pm so I dont go on others and joke around now... I look at it as all in fun. Only one person wins this Scrap box and its gonna be me, SO JUST GIVE UP WILL YA!!!! lol
Hmmm your lights sounds like fire hazards so we wouldnt want you to burn up the scrapbox stuffed in that little bitty closet of yours!!! LOL

Debbie, so tell us:
- How often would you anticipate needing to close it all up so it would be tucked away and out of sight?
- What would your approach be for keeping the work area uncluttered so you'd continuously have open crafting/work space?
- What else would you do to the area you'd place it in to augment it (since our craft supplies exceed our capacity to store them, WorkBox or not! - LOL!)?
- Based on the photos of it, what if your favorite nook or cranny in it?

Hi and great questions! A couple of them I have asked myself..
How often would I need to close it all up.
First of all it wouldnt be out of sight. I love the way it looks on the outside. The more I think about it, I would put things away on a nightly basis. I sleep very little and tend to stay awake till 2 and 3 am every morning. What I do is stamp. I have a scrap booking class and a stamp club every month beside the numerous swaps I am in on SCS. I try to put things away as I finish the projects. Its just that I have so little room to put things away.
The amount of time I could save not spending it looking for something I know I have. Yes I do have alot of things but everything is a necessity.
- What would your approach be for keeping the work area uncluttered so you'd continuously have open crafting/work space?
Now that I would have a specific place for all the little things it would go into its special place. Just having the ability for everything to have a home sounds devine. In the long run it would save me money by not buying the same thing over and over cause I could take an inventory of what I had and what I needed. Its very embarrassing to have your ladies over for a club and spend 30 minutes looking for that something special you used on that scrap page to make it extra special. Then the next day come across it and say Oh yeah.. LOL
I have alot of ladies that come over just to stamp, individually. I would be able to have someone else over to stamp and not have to carry all the goods to the dining room and make 50,000 trips up stairs. I could clear off a table and use it for my bigshot and not have to store it on the floor. Wow that would be so exciting to not stub my toe everytime I walk in the room!!! LOL
What else would you do to the area you'd place it in to augment it (since our craft supplies exceed our capacity to store them, WorkBox or not! - LOL
I would be able to make room (by putting things away) I could remove some totes and rearraige some of the tables and shelves to better fit the room. Wow that sounds exciting...
Based on the photos of it, what if your favorite nook or cranny in it
I get goosebumps when I think of all the great individual places for everything. Its all with in reach of sitting at the table. I have taken a layout of what all I can put in each compartment.
Thank you for giving the opportunity to that special person to win that awesome Scrapbox...

If I had a Scrap Box,
I'd scrap in the morning.
I'd scrap in the evening all over this land.
I'd stamp out images, I'd stamp out creations,
I'd send out cards- made- with love and embellishments
all over this land.
Thank you , thank you very much!!

(1) why you craft
I craft because it is a creative outlet for me. Its a way I can show my creativeness and then give that to someone. Watch a smile break out on their faces. This give me goosebumps everytime I can do this. I love papercrafting, love sharing with others everything you can do and make from paper. Watching someone go from not being able to open an ink pad to watching them dry embossing and seeing that "WOW" look on their faces. You can almost hear them say.. "Did I really do that all by myself". Nothing better than that. My club ladies have a phrase its "WWDD" "What Would Debbie Do" when they get in a jam they would sit back and ask themselves "What Would Debbie Do" and figure it all on their own, or make something up and still feel a self appreciation.
(2) what you do with your completed handcrafted projects, and My completed projects are given usually to others. I am quite often asked to make farewell journals for employees that leave our department at work or that retire. A place so others can write in or share pics of all the time they were with us. I have donated some of my cards to Senior Centers for the elderly to send to family. The smiles on their faces is worth every penny I use to make these projects.
(3) what the biggest impact any of your projects has had on you, someone else, or the world at large I guess the biggest impact was one of my patrons (I deliver books to homebound citizens) had just turned 100 years old. She is an voracious reader and I made her a 100 th birthday card with the 100 years on it. I made some very clean and simple cards for her to send thankyous to family and friends that sent her happy wishes and prestamped the envelopes. She started crying upon my giving her to them, she said they were the nicest present of all. No one else gave her a card with 100 on it. LOL (Maybe they dont make them??). But she showed everyone who came in to wish her well.
Price of cards I made....$3.00
Cost of envies and postage....$3.00
Look on her face= Priceless...
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share some of my stories...
