Default June 2023 - IFH23JUN

Let’s get inspired to create projects this month.

What is June all about, anyway? It’s the sixth month of the year. It has 30 days. It is either the first month of summer or winter, depending on your point of location – Northern Hemisphere is summer, Southern Hemisphere is winter. The day is at its shortest or longest, depending on your hemisphere. It may mean kids are out of school and activities will be planned for the little darlings, or vacation/travel plans are made.

Wherever June finds you, here are subjects for inspiration to get us crafting.

1. Summer/Winter (subject matter or color combinations?)

2. In the middle (a centered design or cluster of elements?)

3. Short or long (varying lengths of elements?)

4. Activities (vacation, travels, lake/beach, reading list?)

Quotes for inspiration:

“In early June, the world of leaf and blade and flowers explodes, and every sunset is different.” – John Steinbeck

“It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside.” – Maud Hart Lovelace

“At midnight, in the month of June, I stand beneath the mystic moon.” – Edgar Allan Poe

“If a June night could talk, it would probably boast it invented romance.” – Bernard Williams

“Far up in the deep blue sky,
Great white clouds are floating by;
All the world is dressed in green;
Many happy birds are seen,
Roses bright and sunshine clear,
Show that lovely June is here.” – F. G. Sanders

There is no time limit, but we would enjoy seeing what you create. Link your post in this thread. When posting to the gallery, please use the Keyword: IFH23JUN

What a fabulous challenge, Joyce Ann! I love all the quotes. I just got back from a 4 1/2 mile walk, my usual most mornings, and the June described here in the Sanders quote is what I experienced this morning. I even took a couple of photos. Sounds like a layout to me! LOL
thank you so much for posting this Joyce Ann.

Here is one, since it is in June and is decorated with flowers! But I am doing another, too.

Nice first layout for this challenge. Glad you still have something else in mind. I am planning something for the Steinbeck quote.

I went with Vacation activity inspiration from pics at the lake last summer. Hope to add more as I work this weekend.
