Hi, & Welcome to this weeks Inspiration Challenge. if you dial up your way back when machine to the land before I was someone who played with paper and ink I started with textiles and collecting linens and doing counted cross stitch and ribbon embroidery. so, textiles always catch my attention and recently I came across this art gallery from Frederique Morrel. There are what I think may be mixed media/needle point pieces that are little colorful scene's set inside shapes. so, you could you know choose to be inspired by the shapes, the colors, the scenes, the mixed media aspect. Have fun with this, I am looking forward to see what sparks you all.

For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many, or too little, images to choose from, I've uploaded 5 of my favorite designs! So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery post in this thread. Thanks for Joining along with us!
NEED HELP GETTING A LINK TO YOUR INSPIRATION PICTURE? Since so many are having trouble grabbing the link to just one picture, please try this:
If you are unable to grab the link of your chosen picture, (on some sites, you can't, it only gives a link to the whole collection), hover over the picture in the collection that you want to link to. On a windows machine, right click the picture (on a Mac, 2 finger click). When the options come up, select COPY IMAGE ADDRESS. This link will be for that picture.

Really neat site! Haven't had a chance to make anything yet, but I'm enjoying looking through it and getting ideas! (I need to get my writing done for today before I get to go play!...but of course if I'm planning crafty stuff for later, I'm not writing am I?? )
Anyway I have seen at yard sales and thrift stores old cross stitch pieces with very outdated looks -- think 70s somber landscapes and 80s geese and teddy bears, and I always think, what a shame someone put so much work into something that probably no one will ever display again? And sometimes there are partially finished pieces with no pattern or supplies to go with it. Well, here's a use for them! What a cool idea!

Well, I did my best to get inspiration from this site. I used an embossing folder that I haven't used yet. I was inspired by the colors in this gallery and the bird images made me think of using the owls. Thank you for the inspiration
I was in the middle of typing in the details on the cards and hit some wrong key and all of a sudden it was uploaded. I will have to finish details in awhile.
I used the parrot which is the fourth row down and second image across. Here's my card.

Here is my card. This was an awesome challenge. Reading her philosophy of giving life back to worn and discarded tapestries was really inspiring. Thanks fro a great challenge. Bird Collage by lamoore - at Splitcoaststampers
