Did you ever feel like you just need some flowers?! I do, and quite often. Although I don't have a green thumb, nothing makes me feel happier than a bouquet of flowers, or a small floral home decor item. So, in honor of the beauty of flowers (even the silk ones!), this weeks inspiration comes from a very special website called Petals. I'm sure you'll find that special arrangement that will send you off to your crafting space to design that one-of-a-kind something special for someone you know! (P.S. If you are an Instagram fan, you can follow them there under the name of "petals_silkflowers" too!)
The bonus challengethis week is for you to send your card or project out in the mail to someone you know would be encouraged by it. If you take the bonus challenge, and if you don't mind, please share with us who the special recipient will be and why you think they'll enjoy it! Let's have a common goal of giving a bouquet of flowers to someone special to us; only our bouquet will be made of paper, in the form of our own inspired greeting card design!
Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the site reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Petals website. Please add a link to your selected image in the description of your project, as this will help me to add you to my Ongoing Inspiration Genius Board too!
Use the keyword: IC554 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites below. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Audie, cant wait to take a look at your suggested petals site. Dang. I can't color flowers to save my life. For you, sweet friend, I'll give it a try. Thanks for another challenge.

Audrie, as usual you picked a great website for your challenge!! Please read my "description" on the card to determine if it qualifies for your challenge! Here is the card!!
Great site for inspiration, Audrie. I love coloring flowers, but decide to challenge myself to something a little different for an anniversary card. Thanks.
THANK YOU!!! I have a lot of flower stamps - and a lot of them are arrangements rather than individual flowers - and I'm often stumped when it comes to what colors to select for them. I've bookmarked this site to use as a reference for those stamps forever and ever! Don't know if I'll have time to play today, but I'm sure stoked about your choice of inspiration!
I added the buttons at the last minute thinking hey - I could do this for Mixability challenge too! Audrie as usual you pick some of the best websites to get inspiration from! I chose this one for mine:
Also will try and send this to my lab tech Jo, she just had double knee surgery a few weeks ago (OUCH!) - and I need her back as soon as she is able to finish therapy! She is the only one I allow to draw my blood. She is the sweetest girl too!!!

Here is my card for the, IC533-Petals, challenge. I really liked the rose bouquets, my fave was the pink one, they were shown with a single rose laying under the bouquet., hence my title. I hope I got it right. Thanks for the fun challenge, and thanks for looking. I have to entertain my grandson, I'll be back shortly to comment. Thanks for your patients.
