IC37 - Landsat Image
Inspiration Challenge 37 - Landsat Image
This Landsat image (credit: NASA Landsat project) is of the West Fjords in Iceland. I found it in a calendar at my mom's house. If you have problems, just approach it like you do the abstract art postings
Here is my sample:
Thankful Leaf
The idea of the Inspiration Challenge is to train your brain to look at the world around you for ideas. You do *not* need to recreate the piece - let your creative juices run wild! Feel free to change the colors, adjust the layout, or pick a different theme -- this is all up to your own interpretation! There are no rules!
Please add IC37 to your keywords (do not use a space or #). If you have other keywords, use a comma to separate them. Adding the challenge number to the keywords helps us to see all the submissions together.
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday. You may upload until midnight Pacific time; after that, please either attach your card to this thread or wait until Monday. Thank you!!
Be inspired and go get stamping!

Some of the stalkers must be sleeping in after a late-VSN-night! That's a very interesting inspiration piece! I think I'm gonna have to print it and think on it!

That is why this didn't get put up until late this morning - I was up playing VSN! (And for some reason I woke up thinking it was Friday, so I had another day to figure out the challenge - silly me!)
I'm glad you folks enjoy the image - the whole calendar is really cool to look at, I had a hard time picking just one!

Here's my attempt
When I looked at this picture I immediately saw oak leaves......so here is my card entitled, Autumn Leaves.

Taking a little time out from VSN to do today's challenge. Only two other cards have been posted, and both creators saw leaves. Not a leaf to be had on my card ~

I saw bare branched black trees when I first looked at this.
Gave me an excuse to use one of my new SonLight Impressions background stamps. If you haven't checked these out yet, you don't know what you are missing. They are really good quality and $7.99 each (from Cornish Heritage Farms).

Thanks for looking, off to prepare for today's VSN!

That is one awesome photo, Karen. When I first saw it, it reminded me of some underwater sites I had seen scuba diving in the 80's. I went from the landsat in space to an underwater macro photo taken by DH of Christmas tree worms on brain coral off the island of Roatan. I used bleach with a background stamp so combined this with the AUG06VSNM. Thanks for another brain exercise!!

First chance I've had to check this out Karen with the VSN weekend. I won't look at the creations until I'm done but I can hardly wait to see them all.
Hope to give it a try today and this is one very unique photo. I love what you come up with each week!

Only TWO weeks late....
I did this two weeks ago on no upload Sunday  and never got around to posting it till now.
After looking at all the fantastic cards alreay shared, I stared at the image a little longer looking for non-leaf inspiration (I hate when I peek first... I always feel like a copy cat!) So I stared and I stared and saw LEGS! Therefore, another great use of Booglie Eyes! I love this set I was also inspired by the colors. I have always loved navy and orange together. Enjoy

Ohh! I have to do this challenge. I used to live in Iceland. When I first looked at the photo it kind of looked like fjords but then I thought nah!
I've been away from the computer for a few weeks and just checked in to see what the challenges have been. Now I'm inspired.
