Who doesn't love a beautiful table?! The one thing that seems to make all the difference is the napkins; the patterns, colors, textures, and fold art, all come together to make it so inviting and warm! This week we are going to enjoy being inspired by beautiful napkins on the ~napkins~ Pinterest board by Janice Chapman Dial. I just fell in love with her gorgeous taste, and had a really hard time just picking one inspiration image. So I plan to play with you over the weekend too! Please join me this week as we get inspired by beautiful napkins!
Bonus Challenge: Napkins are often monogramed - so bonus points for doing something with a monogram!
Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the ~napkins~ Pinterest board by Janice Chapman Dial. You definitely don't have to keep the table dressing theme, you could simply be inspired by the colors and/or textures you see. If you are unfamiliar with how to grab the hyperlinks from a Pinterest Board, here is a helpful video:
Use the keyword: IC552 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites below. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Ms. Audrie, I love napkins! Irish linen with stitched hems are my favorite. I had fun going through this pintrest site. I'll be back tomorrow. Wonderful sight, my friend.

Audrie, I am so glad I can get back to crafting and what a great board you provided us today. It was perfect for a card for our friend that is moving today that we are going to help move to do a card for her to congratulate her on her new home. Thank you!!!!

Audrie- loved this site! I was inspired by the purple flowers from this picture and combined this with the Beach challenge for this week. Did some dry embossing, then swiped my ink pads against my background. Added some coloring, and a faux stitched frame. Here's Stormy beach. Have a great holiday weekend!

I'm back! Love this sight probably because I spent years decorating special tables at our annual women's "tea's" I collected lots of table setting things, silver, crystal, center pieces and china for spring and Christmas teas...now I'm trying to purge because it has been many years since I used all that stuff! Good gravy! IC Love by Stamperrobin - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for looking!

Audrie- went with this red, white and blue table setting for my 2nd card- using SU's Feathered Hope- added some texture with my piece of embellished suede, and color with my red gingham ribbon and blue stars fabric. Here's Patriotic Birds

My first inspiration challenge, Silver Spoons. I used Gone Fishing and embossed Silver Fish, using ribbon three different ways to tie. This was fun. Im really enjoying my summer break.
What a gorgeous inspiration board! So many beautiful colors and patterns - monograms on the napkins and so many beautiful flowers! Wish I could play. In a few days I may have time and I am going to come back to these. Thanks Audrie for the wonderful challenge!
