This week we are tackling two composite challenges: a color theme of black and white and the beautiful styles of our inspiration site the Style! Black & White Living Pinterest board by Alexandra. I have also added a video below showing home decor using lots of black and white color palettes....so feel free to take inspiration from the video as well! I challenge you to enjoy the simplicity of crisp clean lines, or the depth of mixed media materials, either of which can truly honor the rich contrast of a black and white palette! Use your favorite techniques to accentuate contrast and explore artistic design options! I hope you'll enjoy this dual-challenge with me, and discover something new and exciting in your own projects this week!
Bonus Challenge: Keeping the color palette to Black & White
Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Style! Black & White Living Pinterest board by Alexandra. Please add a link to your selected image in the description of your project, as this will help me to add you to my Ongoing Inspiration Genius Board too!
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites below. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Hello to you Audrie - a wonderful choice today, black and white is difficult for me normally, so I very much enjoyed this challenge. Thank you sweet lady.
I woke up very early this morning to check out the gallery and WOW WOW WOW - I'm loving the creative designs everyone is coming up with! Absolutely inspiring in so many ways!
I'm going to sleep a bit longer, but I'll be back later to join in on the fun!
Audrie- thanks for the cool inspiration site! I was influenced by this dog and went with a another black and white dog, a diamond border, and a hand written sentiment. Here's Be true to yourself

Loved this jacket and remembered the fun time we had going to baseball games as a family to Candlestick Park in SF- combined with this cool stamp I got from pictureshow on Etsy- added a frame, some partial embossing, and distressing. Here's Baseball card.

Another fabulous inspiration site Audrie! It was hard to choose just one so I did two (even though I have at least two more I would like to do!). Here they are:
Sorry I'm late! Was on the way back yesterday from visiting
Graceland for my 50th birthday, so I couldn't play, but have combined your awesome black and white challenge with the Featured Stamper challenge today. Thank you!!
Audrie, you provided a wonderful Pinterest Board for a black and white inspiration! I love black and white cards! It took me some time, but I managed to incorporate two challenges into one with my card. Thanks!
