Well this is a special week because we are celebrating 500 Inspiration Challenges! I can't believe that there have been so many amazing opportunities to be inspired! Personally, I'm fairly new to the inspiration challenge, but I fell in love with it quickly because I firmly believe that artistic inspiration is "everywhere" and "anywhere" around us! To honor this event we are giving away several prizes during the week....Keep your eye on the forum postings as I will be announcing prizes all through the week; between Saturday July 4th until Friday July 10th! Read details below carefully for Prize details!

Interesting Fact: One of the most interesting things I noticed as I looked back over the first inspiration challenges is that they did not start out with an "Inspiration Site". In fact, one of the first IC's was completely inspired by 1 red skirt! In the beginning anything could be used as an inspiration! I may have to do this again one week....I think it was really interesting to see all the different designs from 1 single inspiration piece!
SCS PRIZES: Splitcoaststampers is joining in with us and generously giving away five (yes 5) Fan Club Subscriptions. These will be randomly awarded throughout the week. Everyone who posts a card has a chance for these prizes. Remember to count what post number you have (for example I am #1, and SmileynStef is #2.....and so on). For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 5 of my favorites..… so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). congratulations on this being #500 of the inspiration challenges... I know the IC stands for Inspiration Challenge and I think the 05 is the year that it started... I am in the process of making my card and will post it in the morning.... thanks for always giving me wonderful sites to get inspired by.... love it...

Woo hoo!!! Number 500!!!! The inspiration challenge has always been a fave of mine and I appreciate all of the time and effort all of you lovely ladies have put in for us!
**For the trivia question, I am guessing that, like any new challenge, there has to be enough participation to warrant a dedicated challenge forum. (?)

Hooray for the USA on this Independence Day and Hooray in celebration of the IC's 500th challenge! How COOL is that? I have been participating in the IC since 2011 when I joined SCS and have loved every challenge I have done. Here's to 500 more!
Congrats on the 500th challenge. My guess for the trivia question is that their were gallery issues, like getting key words to link together to make a gallery!
i found the ic01...ic04 challenges in this thread. ic04 mentions that there was not enough interest to make it its own forum. so i second the post that mentions ic05 must be when the ic received its own forum.

Wow, 500!!! I have so enjoyed this challenge over the past 9 1/2 years. Lots of great inspiration sites have acquainted me to many wonderful websites not only for inspiration with my card making but also wonderful decorating ideas and fashion tips.
Here is my card and looking forward to the celebration.

Before I became a part of this website, I read a lot here! And of course I found the skirt. Just because the skirt I bought designpaper in red and gold :lol: because I saw this card in front of me... I had to make it. Stupid-me didn't take a picture of it before I sent it.
...Karen, do you still have the skirt?
The second challenge inspired me, too, for buying some designpaper, I HAD to buy stripes! More stripes! And I still like it!

Was inspired by the awesome Rustic DIY wedding in Australia and went with a farm/distressed motif, too- added a chicken for my photo, using SU's From the Herd for my stamped images. Here's Pasture Birthday
