IC434 - damask love | craft is in session {03-29-14}
I don't know about you all, but what really inspires me is PASSION! There are many crafters, stampers and/or artists that do amazingly beautiful work, but not all of them are passionate about it. This week I'd like to introduce you to one of the most passionate bloggers out there, at one of the most consistently beautiful blogs: "damask love". It won't take you long to pick up on Amber's passion for artistic design and crafting of every kind! It's clear to me that she does it quite naturally, yet with great enthusiasm. That's what makes her spirit so inspiring, as well as perfect for our weekly inspiration challenge!
I plan to play along most of the day on Saturday. So you can expect at least 3 inspiration cards from me this weekend, starting with the first one which is a single layer 'cascading bubbles' card that I made with a pencil eraser.
I hope you will join me, and take the challenge of being inspired at the damask love Blog, and post something uniquely inspired of your own!
Challenge Goals: Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image reminds you of it. :cool: Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today .
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the Amber's Blog: damask love.
Use the keyword: IC434 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites...so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
I followed Amber for a long time - she's just SO clever and SO creative, and her designs are easy and fun to CASE - but lost track of her when Google Reader went away and I failed to switch to another blog reader. Thanks for connecting me up with her again - I've bookmarked her blog so I don't get lost...
I have to work for a little while this morning, but hope to play when I'm done
Wow!!! What an incredible talent! I could have spent all day cruising through Amber's blog and will definitely go back for more tutorials! Thanks for a super fun challenge today!
Than you, Audrie, for this super site! I have a new stencil and just couldn't figure out how to use it until I saw a bird cage card on the inspiration site. Here is my Capturing Spring There is no sun this morning so my photo is a bit dark.
