Default PIC1 - 6/5/14

Hi scrappy friends, and welcome to the first A Picture Is Worth 1000 Words challenge! This challenge will take inspiration from words, quotes and pictures, so it's pretty far reaching. I'm really excited to be hosting, and already have challenges planned out for the next three months, so be sure to check back at the beginning of July and August for more scrappy inspiration. Let's get to the challenge, shall we?

In honor of our first A Picture is Worth 1000 Words challenge, I thought it fitting that we use the word “scrap” as our inspiration. According to Dictionary.com, a scrap is a small piece or portion; a fragment. You can interpret this challenge however you want, but here are a few idea I thought of:
• Scrapbook pictures of a scrapbooking event.
• Use scraps (less than a full size of paper) on your layout.
• Use the leftovers of a set of stickers or embellishments.
• Use products that start with the letters in the word scrap.

My sample: K First Day

I can't wait to see what you dream up, so don't forget to use the keyword PIC1 when posting in the gallery, and please leave a link to your layout in this thread. Have fun!

This is a fun theme. Looks like we need to get the word out better, though! I'm afraid I'm still on scrapping hiatus except for posting the progressive scrap challenge each Tuesday. I hope to get some scrappy mojo back soon!

I hardly ever remember to link to the challenge thread, but I had to come looking for the key word, so here we go!

Hey everyone, in an effort to make all our challenge key words more consistent, we're changing how we do key words. The new key word for this challenge is PIC14Jun. If you get a chance, please update your key word in the gallery so it will always show up when someone does a search. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Used "scraps" of papers to do this challenge.

Default One down...one to go...

A little late...but here's my layout:

Christmas Eve/Merry Morning

I chose to use scraps and the leftovers of a set of stickers...('the stockings were hung..."). And the scallop & shaped background are old KMA pieces that I've had since the beginning of time...
