Hello Scrappers! It's time for a scraplift challenge. Our Diva this week is grammawammaAKA Carol.
I met Carol here on SCS back in 2007 and for the past two years we have been scrapbooking and chatting together with others over in the scrapbook goals forum. Carol has been very much like an "online Mom" to me. And I've watched her scrapbooking style change and evolve into something incredible. Her heritage layouts are my personal favorite but all of them are great.
You'll find Carol's gallery HERE.
Go check it out and find a layout to scraplift.
*Remember* A scraplift does not necessarily mean that you have to copy everything from the page. The idea is to be inspired by a particular element or elements of the page such as:
Theme The theme of a layout includes the overall subject as well as specifics related to the journaling and title. You could lift the theme, title, style of journaling.
Photography Photographs are the basis of most scrapbook pages. They illustrate the theme and their mood and style should spark the design. You could be inspired by the subject of the photos, technical aspects of the photos such as angle and lighting, mood, size and shape of the photos or the quantity.
Design The design of a layout encompasses the overall look of the page. You could be inspired by the color palette, size and shape of embellishments, typography, or placement of the elements on the page.
Materials Scrapbookers use a wide variety of techniques and products to create their art. This may inspire you to take the same materials and use them on your layout in your own unique way or copy the orginal artist's technique.
Be sure to let us know what elements you were inspired by.
Please use the keywords IFC56 for all layouts submitted for the challenge.
You will find the gallery HERE. Please Note: Schedule Change for the IFC Until further notice, the IFC will be posted every other week. The next IFC will be posted on 11/09/09. I will re-evaluate this schedule after the end of the year and if participation warrants it, I will return to a weekly schedule. I want to personally thank each and every one of you who has participated in the challenges over the past year as well as those of you who have guest-hosted when I needed you to. Without you, there would not be an Inspiration Found Challenge. Looking forward to another year with you at SCS,
Jennipher;)

Beautiful LO's Wendy and Joyce Ann! I knew right away which LO's you each lifted! Of course Wendy's was the easiest to guess, but when Joyce Ann made the comment about the colors...I knew right away! It is such an honor to be "lifted!"

I played along too! I scraplifted the idea and LO that I did earlier this year of the quilt I did for dgs #2. This new one is of the quilt that I made for dgs #1 in 2006. I wanted to do it since the quilt was made out of old blue jeans and I put pockets from the jeans on the quilt. Somewhere I saw a challenge to put a pocket on a lo, so I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone. However, now I can't remember where I saw that challenge! So, only one bird killed here!

Well, I'm finally getting my page for this challenge uploaded. It did take a while to choose a layout to lift and that was the hardest part.
Here is my page:
Great job Lela! I got lots of pics on my LO but you surpassed me! It's great to get so many pics on a LO and not have it look overwhelming! You did great! Thanks for the nice compliments!
