Hello scrapper friends!!
I�m Wendy Banker (wendella247), the �other half� of the new team that will be co-hosting the Scrap Inspiration challenges. A number of you already know me, since I hang out a lot on the scrapping threads and have hosted some challenges in the past.
Melisa and I will take turns posting a challenge every two weeks. Melisa will post her first challenge on Monday, August 23rd, and my first will be Monday, September 6th. Our challenge-hosting styles will be different and we hope you�ll enjoy the mixture! Mine will be more of a
potluck and we�ll just have to see what kind of inspiration pops up from month to month!! ;)
I�ve been a member of SCS since late 2005, but I�ve been a scrapper since I was a young child! I can remember my mom cutting brown paper bags into large squares, punching two holes along the edge, tying a bunch of �pages� together with yarn and then letting me make scrapbooks using things I cut out of her old magazines. (She made my paste out of flour and water!) I got my first Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 10 and have been taking photos ever since!
As an adult I took a scrapbooking class in early 2005 and discovered the world of cardstock, stickers, ribbons, brads, punches, etc., etc. Shortly after that, I discovered stamping and card making, and that�s when I found SplitcoastStampers. I�m totally hooked and seem to find that scrapping � both traditional and digi -- has evolved into my craft of choice.
I hope you�ll find fun and motivation in the Inspiration challenges that Melisa and I post, and look forward to lots of participation from the many, many fabulous scrappers here on SCS.
I personally want to thank Jennipher Lowery, our recently-retired hostess, for the more than two years she spent hosting the Inspiration Challenge. She put her heart and soul into it, and I hope we can live up to her dedication and wonderful ideas.
