Arrow IFC50 9/14/09: Timelines-Document the Passage of Time

Hello Everyone and welcome to Inspiration Found September! Thank you for your patience today as I finished up my sample page late last night and had to work today and I'm just now getting the challenge posted.

Our inspiration this week was found in the August 2009 Issue of Creating Keepsakes:

From Ali Edwards:
Quote:

I've always been a fan of timelines. I love their linear nature. I love that they have a beginning and an end. I love that they can be filled in to tell a story over the course of a period of time and show progression and movement. Timelines are a great tool to use in your scrapbooks. They can focus on short or long time spans-from a single day to a decade. Many of my favorite timelines show a significant difference or growth from the beginning to the end.
The Challenge: Create a scrapbook layout that documents the passage of time.

Suggestions:
-create a timeline about your day
-create a timeline covering several days. For instance: the first week of school or the first week of your newborn's life.
-create a timeline spanning a year
-a timeline of your working life and the job's you've held.
-put those wallet sized school photos to work on a timeline of your child's years in school (or yours!)
-create a timeline of a vacation. highlight your favorite moments as a whole, or create a timeline for each day of your getaway.
-record the dates of major historic events that occurred during your life or the life of your parents, grandparents or an ancestor.

I decided to create a timeline based on the changes and growth in Charity from one spring season to the next:
Spring Memories

Now it's your turn. Have fun documenting the passage of time this week. Be sure to use the keyword IFC50when uploading your creations to the gallery.

I am trying to get back to scrapping also. I have the perfect idea for this page. My daughter just got her braces off today! Her smile is so beautiful! I just happened to find the before photo and the photo I took after they put the braces on and today I tooke the after photo. Off to walgreens tomorrow to get it printed and then do this page. Meanwhile, here is a page I had in my gallery ( I know they are supposed to be newly created pages but wanted to share):

Thanks for the challenge, Jen!

Thanks Sally. I know what you mean about the rut. I think everyone is in one lately.

I know this layout doesn't go too far in time (only one day, sort of) but it is showing before, during, and after my Dining Room Makeover.

We have decided as the carpets age and need replaced that we will install hardwood floors (which is almost the same price as good carpeting!) and will probably last a lot longer!

TFL!

This is a great example of documenting the passage of time. I like that you decided to think outside the box of people and document a renovation. Great job. Thanks for playing.
