I just got home too! Thanks so much to Jami, Emily & Joy and to all of the helpers. We all had so much fun and are looking forward to next year already. Thanks so much for driving Michelle, it was nice to sit back and relax a little on the way home.

It was so fun meeting and chatting it up with all of you today! Huge thanks to Jami, Joy, and Emily! I know you guys put in a ton of work to pull this off. We had a lot of people and yet it ran so smoothly. And please pass along a big thank you to all the companies/people that donated prizes.

We're home safely in San Diego - made great time on the trip home! Thanks again to Em, Joy and Jami for putting on a great day! I was so glad to finally get to meet some people, and to get together again with others. I would also like to thank everyone for the quality shoebox swaps that we had today! Congrats ladies on a job well done!

Since I'm so 'wired' from today, thought I'd chime in, too and add my great big THANK YOU to Jami, Joy and Emily and ALL the awesome volunteers for such a GREAT DAY!!!! This was my first Mania, too and it was such a blast. The hard work, organization and preparation that went into today was apparent everywhere. One of the smoothest run events I've ever attended!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!! And, I have to echo Karen's statement about the swaps, the shoeboxes and the door prizes!!!! I still haven't had a chance to look over all the swaps, but....I look forward to doing that tomorrow, if I'm able to get any sleep tonight. THANK YOU ALL FOR A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!! Looking forward to next year!!! (with shirts, if you want!)

You guys rock and I *heart* you all.

Thanks for a wonderful first stamp mania experience. SERIOUSLY! What a blast! Cannot wait to play again next year!!!

Okay, headed to bed now so I am not a walking zombie tomorrow! *goodnight*

Ooooh, and if Taylor has not posted the recipe for puppy chow -- would you please do so, or email/PM it to me????

I just wanted to add my thanks to Joy, Emily and Jami and all the volunteers for a wonderful day. It was my first stampmania, too, and I had a great time meeting everyone and doing all the fun projects! There are some truly awesome stampers in SoCal. A special thanks to MamaKim for taking me under her wing - I was nervous about going alone so she invited me to join her carpool. Thanks so much Kim, you're the best!
And Amanda, I'm glad you made it home safely, and without a speeding ticket

when I was in first grade in Laguna Beach!! HOLY MOLY!
What a small world! I didnt have her as my teacher tho.
It was fun to talk about the teachers I remembered having,

I love all the cards I got to make, and the trading was a BLAST!
SO worth stayin up till 1a.m. to get them all finished!!!
Seriously tho- Manias are TOO far apart! How about 3-4 times a year!!
Thanks to Joy and Daisy of Eclectic Paperie for all those
FAB prizes they donated!!
And the SCS girls who donated their stamped goodies for prizes!
I so appreciate all the hard work and LONG hours it takes
for you gals to put this on, AND WITHOUT A HITCH!!
It runs so smoothly!!!
OK done rambling!!

Gotta chime in too.

WOW, what a blast I had at my first stamp mania. So many amazing ladies and projects. I loved every minute of it. Got home and showed my DH everything (during commercials of course). My DD came home this morning and wanted to see everything right away.

Emily, Jami and Joy you guys rock. What an amazing event. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. A big thank you to all the volunteers for donating their time.

It was such fun to meet all these wonderful ladies that I have been communicating with online, Beth, Trisha, Michelle, Amanda, Jan, Corie, Tandra, Kathy, Heather, Aubrey, Alora, Denier and so so many more. I can't wait to get together again.

On that note I was thinking that maybe we could do a little micro mini shoebox swap during the memorial day weekend. I could fit 12-15 into my living/family rooms. Anyone game? Oh yeah, I'm in West Hills in the San Fernando Valley. Just a thought at this point as DH is supposed to be gone to the River for a boys weekend. Give me some feedback and maybe we can set it up.

Hugs to everyone.

Kim.....what a fab idea!!!! But, alas, as close as you are, you'll be too far away!!! I'll be in AZ for granddaughter's graduations over the long weekend. But, I'll check in when I get back to see if your 'micro mini' was a success! It was so nice to meet you and for the record......you aren't a 'slacker'!!!!!

Oh good!! I checked earlier this morning to see if Amanda had posted...I guess it was a bit too early! So glad you made it home safely.

Thanks again to Jami, Joy, and Emily (as well as all the great helpers)! It was an absloutely fantastic day. Seriously (a la Grey's Anatomy)...you may have to look into the convention center for next time if this even keeps growing.

We'll be talking about SCSSM4 for a long time. Each one gets better than the last; even though you think it can't get any better than the previous. With Emily, Jami, & Joy as seasoned hosts, and all the wonderful stampers who volunteered, you out did yourselves. It definitely was a spectacular day, and the event ran so seamless. A shout also goes out to the vendors who volunteered so many wonderful prizes for the drawings, everyone who made such beautiful door prizes, the great shoebox swaps, and the optional swaps. It was so nice to see so many stampers come from afar to join us in sunny So. CAL.

Karen from Canada and I have been" ooooooooooooing" and "aaaaaaaaaaaaaahing" over the displays and donated cards for Ronald McDonald House this morning. WOW! is all I can say. They are all so fantastic. I'm so inspired to just keep on stamping. You have no idea how much these cards and projects make a difference in the lifes of so many, and will bring smiles to the faces of the families and children who stay at Ronald McDonald House.

I have to tell you, I can't even win $5 on the lottery, but yesterday it felt like I won a big lottery by all the door prizes I received. And then to top it off winning the Bind-it-All, I was floored. I still can't believe it. Thanks so much for drawing the lucky ticket "391", woo hoo!

Meeting new stampers, and seeing familiar faces again was like a big reunion. I'm looking forward to a mini or next SCSSM5. Hope to see you all there.

BTW, I received a lot of requests for the recipe to the Toffee Crunch Grahams so here it is, not only is is simple to make, but those who tasted it know how yummy.

Toffee Crunch Grahams
12 whole graham cracakers (about 5 inches x 2 1/2 inches)
1 1/2 cups butter (no substitutes)
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups sliced almonds

Line a 15 inch x 10 inch x 1 inch baking pan with heavy-duty (or non-stick) foil. Place graham crackers in pan. In a saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Carefully pour over graham crackers. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes or until bubbly. Cool in pan for at least 4 minutes. Cut each cracker into four sections: transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Yield: 4 dozen

What a terrific stamping/eating/making friends weekend this was!

THANK YOU Jami, Emily, and Joy!! Your hard work was evident in how smoothly everything went. Also, thanks to all the volunteers who helped out.

I stayed in Long Beach last night just so I could shop at Fabric Barn this morning. It was SOOOOOOO worth it! What a great store! I bought ooodles of ribbon!

When I got home this afternoon (San Diego), I couldn't wait to show my DH all the goodies I made, swaps, prizes and photos. I still can't believe I won Valerie's beautiful cards! Lucky me!!

I'll post some photos later, after I unpack and start some laundry.

Default Question

Ladies,
I saw a couple of you carrying a cool kinda craft bag/tote. One was pink/brown and I saw another in cool carribean/brown with striped insides. I NEED (okay want) one of these! Can someone tell me where I can locate one? Thank you!

Luna,

I went straight out after StampMania and bought one myself. Michael's had them for $20.

THANK YOU, again, to Jami, Joy, and Emily. You are STAR organizers!!!

Also, Thank you to everyone else for all of the wonderful projects. I now have all of my projects for a summer class that I teach with Elementary aged girls!

Had a GREAT time!! Thank you so much to everyone - but especially Jami, Joy and Emily. Too bad you girls are so busy keeping the flow going - you don't have time to participate - I'm sure it's more fun on the floor than the stage - though, Jami, you do very well in front of the Mic!
Thanks for the recipes too.
