Bonus Question: I've been stamping about 4 years I think. I had previously done lots of other crafts, and didn't NEED a new craft to get involved in, but it didn't take long for me to go crazy. I love it so much because of the instant gratification I get from making a card, and because I can stamp for 10 minutes or 4 hours and still walk away and do other things. It allows me to focus on something else besides WORKING (I would bring my work home with me in the evenings, and that wasn't good.) I'm not a demo, just a great customer!

YEAH!!
Bonus Chat Question #3
I have been stamping about 20 years now. I have been a demo since January 2005. After avoiding SU for so very many years, I finally realized the tremendous advantage of having everything color coordinated plus the great strides SU has made with their images. Of course, then I wanted it all and had to replace my extensive collection of various inks and markers (but not stamps!). I try to stamp at least 3 to 4 days a week. I don't think I could ever keep up with all you bloggers out there though!

Cathy, thank you so much for bringing up the question of vendor requirements for the door prize. I'm so glad that's it's NVR, just because I have something in mind, that I didn't think I could use-- and was going to try to recreate with SU paper.
Thanks Jami and Emily for the clarification.

Bonus Chat Question #3
My obsession with stamping started about 7 years ago. A friend invited me to a SU party and I was hooked. I became a demo almost 4 years ago when my hubby started complaining about my spending on "arts and crafts". Some great customers keep me in business, otherwise I'd just be a hobby demo. I usually stamp two or three times a week.

Bonus Question #3
I have been stamping for about 3 years steady. I started about 10 years ago but it was off and on. I have been a demo since April of 2005 and I love it. I guess I stamp 2-3 times a week more if I can squeeze it in.

Bonus Chat Question #3
I've been stamping off and on for several years....I went to a couple of Stampin' Up! parties in the 90's...bought some stamps...used them a few times....did not have the support I have experienced in the last year, however...and importantly, there was NO SCS....actually, I seldom used a computer back then...How times have changed!
About a year ago, I got involved again with Stampin' Up! through my present upline, Arlene Jones...she'll be at StampMania, too and she was there last year!...She has been wonderful!! I became a Hobby Demo at the end of August, 2006...recently had my first workshop...we'll see where it all goes, but the main thing is that I absolutely love stamping!
I stamp almost every day...the challenges on SCS have helped me immensely!

I've been stamping for about 3 years - actually if you ask my family, I've actually been collecting stamping stuff for about 3 years - with job, kids, football/cheer, etc I don't get the opportunity to sit and stamp very often. If I'm lucky, maybe once a week. I'm not a Demo - just a very good customer

I went to my first SU workshop in 2002 and have been collecting off and on ever since. My stamping goes in fits and spirts--none for months and then everyday for a while.
I became a demo the end of January mostly so that I could be "in the know". Of course, the discount doesnt hurt either. I'm still deciding if I want to make it a real business.

I've been stamping for about 4 years -- gosh, I guess I should be better at it !! No matter, I have fun ! I don't have a lot of SU stamps, mostly older ones. But I love all kinds of stamps and probably stamp about 3 times a week. I really had a blast at the N Calif Stampmania we had last year so I really am looking forward to this gathering.

Hi, Mama Kim,
If I was on the spreadsheet before, would there be a reason that I'm no longer on it? Just curious - you can add me again if you need to! Thanks for putting in all this work, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

Bonus chat question #2
I live in Pasadena - home of the Rose Parade!
I will be driving nearly 30 miles to Stampmania.
My favorite SoCal attraction is a children's museum called Kidspace. It is actually located by the Rose Bowl & it's got a couple of great areas for infants/toddlers. It works for my kids who are young.
Bonus chat question #3
I went to my first Stampin' Up party in 2000, but I was trying to finish my graduate school program & get married & I didn't have any time for any "extras"! I only more recently started to really get into stamping last year, and now that I've found SCS, there's no turning back!
I am not a demo, although, I'd like to be one someday, when the children are older. I think I'd enjoy doing it.
Alas, I hardly can find time to stamp, though, since the demands of young children are so great! I stamp in spurts, when I have "projects" to do. Example: valentines for my daughter, Christmas presents, etc. I am so envious of you gals who have time to even stamp more than once a week! I'm still trying to carve out time for that once a week!
I am so looking forward to going to Stampmania! Especially now that my door prizes are complete & I've started on my shoebox project! Thanks for the challenges!

I started stamping in 1997 after attending a Stampin Up workshop hosted by a friend. I spent $85 and wasn't sure what I was thinking! But I thought my sister was even crazier, because she signed up to be a demo after that party. I'm not a demo, because she is, plus as much as I love Stampin Up, I also love a lot of other stamps and supplies out there. I try to stamp or scrapbook three to four times a week, sometimes more, sometimes less depending on how busy I am with other things.

Hello Ladies:
Please put me down for bringing some 12 bottles of water I do believe the post stated. I don't know how you ladies are doing these challenges because I change my mind to many times but keep up the good work. I will see you all on the 28th. If I think of anymore goodies to bring I will just bring them.

I promise, I've ready through the entire thread, including especially post #1, which has a lot of details for most of everything! I just was wondering about the "SU! only" restrictions.
While I know that our shoebox project is supposed to be all SU! stuff, (except for embellishments like ribbon, right?), I hope I'm not silly for asking if the following things also have to be SU?
stamp scrub
stamp cleaner
adhesive foam dots (aka dimensionals)
terrifically tacky tape
paper piercer
I'm using SU! cardstock & ink & rubber stamps already. I totally get that!
But the other things that I listed, I already have them, but not bought through SU! I hope it's alright, because I didn't even dare to use glitter on my project, since it's not SU! glitter either.
Thanks for answering my "silly" questions.

The first time I ever bought stamps was in the late 80s my freshman year in college. They were Hero Arts and I still have them! I started using SU in 1999 and became a demo in Aug 2005. I stamp about once a week and when I do, it's usually for a ton of swaps. I do marathon stamping! lol

I have been stamping for about 3 years. I have actually only attended 1 SU party and funny thing is I wasn't all that impressed! But, I started stamping regularly with a good friend at her get togethers and well. . . it didn't take long for me to change my mind! I love stamping and try to stamp several times a week while DS naps. I just signed up in February to be a demo so we'll see how that goes!
P.S. Thank you SO much for doing these challenges! I'm glad I have someone helping me to not procrastinate.

Hi girls! I just e-mailed Joy, finally decided I am going, even if it is "solo" (I hope Starla sees this and feels bad, then decides to go with me! hee-hee). And I even went ahead and put me in my avatar...so here "me" is!
<<<<<<<<
Now to figure out all the challenges and questions...oh and my shoebox item, swap, what I will wear (do I need something new? LOL), my name tag, etc. etc.
