I didn't go either. Decided it was a good day to stay home and clean (DH is working) and besides that I don't need to spend more $$. I'm sure I'll spend plenty when in California for SCSM4 at the end of April.

I didn't go
I didn't go either. I have to much to do for next weekend, with two different events going on, and need some time from the busyness to get my stuff done, have I started yet? NO! It is a rainy windy gloomy day here. But it did feel good to sit around in my pj's for most of the day! I am just happy my email is back up and running. Can't say the same for my DH. His came back up and is down again. DARN IT!

I already did some cleaning now I am working on next week's stuff. Ok, so right now I am just chatting with everybody here on SCS...here there and everywhere. lol
Yeah you will definitely want to have moola for that trip. It will be awesome! Take notes so we can use ideas for the Stampede.
I hate that you are not spending the day with us this time.

It has been moving kinda slow for me here. There must be some heavy traffic, with the yucky weather, everyone wants to be here.

Do ya have a plan? A layout in mind? DH was being such a sweetie...He was trying to come up with ideas for a card a few mins ago. I giggled and am taking some of his advice. He cracks me up when he tries to help...He does pretty good most of the time.

I meant to answer you earlier, but when I went to reply my phone rings and one of my friends(who doesn't come by often) called and was all hey which house is yours? I was like uh? 1412 and she said I am here, I was all I am not dressed yet. She said I don't care about that, my husband isn't with me. Then she stayed until 4, and I had to shower get the kids ready, cause I promised they could eat at mcyd's and play at the playplace. I just love unexpected company!
Well What I did was kept looking at the Wednesday tutorials as they came out until I found one that caught my eye. So now you have some sort of clue as to what I am doing but I am not giving it away. But I printed the tutorial and cruised the gallery to see what others had done with it and figured what set I wanted to use. I actually tried it out with 2 sets and figured out card I liked best, and am going with it, but I have to adjust it a bit and still have not cut my swaps yet, but I am going to start as soon as I get the kiddos in bed.

Good morning ladies,
For all of the CKC goers... how was it? I wasn't able to go for reasons stated by everyone else. I will hopefully make one of these some year.
I am in the final stages of my prep.. Only ribbon and one layer left to cut (had to order more). Just need to wrap my white elephant gift and price my yard sale stuff. I am so looking forward to next weekend
Can't wait to meet you all and finally see all of those aaaawweesome gifts we keep hearing about
Have a great Sunday,

I was fun because I was with Autumn but the actual event was a little overwhelming. It was fun to look at all of the cool stuff and shop - just a lot of people to bump into. I think I rubbed up against more people than I care to think about. The funny thing was at one point during the day (while Autumn and I were standing in line for the dollare booth) they mistakenly turned on the heat in the building. So funny to watch a bunch of shop crazed women start to sweat. Anyway, we had fun but I can't wait until next weekend when I get to crank out some awesome cards.
I finished my name tag and need to wrap the White Elephant Gift. Then it is off to cut for my card.

Swap card is all cut and bagged and ready to go! Yay! now...for that white elephant gift...
Question on that - our reg form said that the elephant gift was supposed to be $5, but a post here the other day said $8-$10. ?? Can someone help clarify, please?

CKC was interesting. Tons of col stuff to check out! But, yes, it did get really hot in there and it was soo crowded. And.... I was lonely. My sister got sick and couldn't make it. And I couldn't find Autumn and Randi. I hadn't thought that we might not get a cell phone signal in the building! So, since I couldn't reach them by phone, I kept watching for them everywhere but never did see them. But the Free Skinny Cow ice cream was good!

OMG, was the convention ever crowed! I couldn't get into see half the stuff. I even separated from my friends because it was so hard to try to look together at the booths. I had cell phone service in most of the building. Tried to call Autumn and Summer, but they had no service. I saw someone I thought might be Randi (from Looking at the avatar) I yelled, "Hey Randi, but the girl didn't respond so must not have been Randi. I tried to find you Randi. I only stayed about 3 hrs. We went to Archivers and Scrapbook factory.
I sure hope I don't have to travel up next Saturday in the yucky weather we had yesterday.

I was at the CK event Thursday and Friday working. I think I enjoyed working more than I did shopping. Even Friday morning the Convention center was packed, and Technique Tuesday was sold out on a lot of things I wanted
I was in and out in about an hour. So I did the fast walk through. I had more fun TA-ing for 3 classes that morning (of course I wish I would have gotten the goodies the attendees got, but I didn't pay to go to the class). Anyways it was my first CKC and I will probably go back next year and plan on spending more time in the classrooms.
But I think I found my white elephant gift there. Very cool and haven't seen it in stores yet, so that's even better...
Danita, they upped it to $8-$10 since $5 was hard to find something nice.

Well I couldn't get on here lastnight SCS wouldn't load for nothing. GRRRR....... Randi and I had a nice time at the convention then we went shopping in Fairview. LOL We were there right after they opened the doors. So we didn't get to see Carla and Shirley tried to call me and I tried to call her back a few times but neither Randi nor I had cell signal in the building. So we were sad that we missed them both but we will get to see them in a few days.

I was gone all day. Dropped Randi at her house around 1:00 then came home and had a huge family deal and now tonight everyone is coming here for dinner (in about 30 minutes). LOL I tried to get on here last night around Midgnight and SCS wouldn't load.

AWWWWWW she loves me. Did ya'll see that she said she had fun cuz she was with ME????? I am a fun kinda gal. LOL It was fun but yeah, overwhelming is a good word.
UMMMM YOU got your name tag finished????? I have taken mine apart and reworked it three times now. I think I might just wear a sticky white name tag and be done with it.

Question on that - our reg form said that the elephant gift was supposed to be $5, but a post here the other day said $8-$10. ?? Can someone help clarify, please?

Hmmmm I don't have an answer for that question. We will have to ask the Lady that typed the Registration form. HEY LAAAAADDDDDDDYYYYYYYY......... LOL I'm sorry I really can't remember why that was changed right now, but I know we had a good reason.
Sorry, I am sure we will get a final word on that from Tracy, what say you Tracy?

I sure hope I don't have to travel up next Saturday in the yucky weather we had yesterday.

I did try to call you back a few times. Sorry. Hey we went to Archivers and Hobby Lobby. LOL

Oh hey, She's right about the White Elephant gift. Sorry, I think I had too much caffeine today, I'm not thinking straight.
