kmk24 03-22-2013 09:34 AM

I was hoping my friend Darlene was going to attend this one - she has never been to one before and I told her that this was a good one to start with since you only do 2 tables not everyone's! Maybe I can convince her to go in the fall.

lindylou1220 03-22-2013 09:35 AM

I hope so, Karen. Leaning towards 11/2.

OK, doing more than leaning now. I just got a call from the church that the last weekend of October is needed for the church's 40th anniversary planning. They rightly get first dibs.

Hope with this much advance notice that everyone can make it on November 2nd.

lindylou1220 03-22-2013 09:37 AM

FYI...I know everyone is anxious to see the final counts on the swaps but it will be a bit yet before you see those because my numbers didn't match up with those of our swap heads. That means that I have some research to do but we do hope to have updates for you by the end of this weekend.

Thanks for your patience.

snowcountry311 03-22-2013 11:33 AM

I know the first is a good thing and, according to you, so is the second. For me not so much on the second. Snow here all day, too.

snowcountry311 03-22-2013 12:44 PM

Still snowing. Hope matthew's little doss well in this weather.

lindylou1220 03-22-2013 12:48 PM

Fortunately, I read "Gayla" and know that you mean that you hope his little car does well in this weather. ;-)

I'm sure he'll be fine. I don't think there's really any accumulation on the roads -- at least not around here.

teach57123 03-22-2013 03:36 PM

Hi, Linda
I was looking at the swap lists and see I'm not listed in all of the ones I thought I'd signed up for. ( See post 120). I hope I didn't mess up and not check all the boxes for what I wanted to do. It might explain some of your numbers not matching up.

lindylou1220 03-22-2013 04:00 PM

Hi Beth, it's possible that I missed sending some. Most updates don't get made til I have the registration forms and confirm in an email.

Anyhow, I'll be double checking names over the weekend so just keep an eye out.

lindylou1220 03-23-2013 06:58 AM

Final counts/names are now posted on page 1.

These are the post #'s (not quantities):

DQ #8
3x3 #10
NVR #13
Recipe #15
ATC #19
Twisted #9

Now, if you see any problems, LMK right away so we can get those fixed. Thanks.

snowcountry311 03-23-2013 07:48 AM

i believe our final count is 11 for twisted

snowcountry311 03-23-2013 01:36 PM

How many shoebox cards do we need to prep for, everyone attending or less?

snowcountry311 03-26-2013 05:48 PM

not the total number of those attending. you will provide for 2 tables. both will be the same project.
table size hasn't been provided yet. TABLES OF 9
also allow for a few "oops"
it also states 4 completed,of your project

lindylou1220 03-27-2013 06:46 AM

Sherry, and others who are wondering, seating will be at tables of nine. You'll be making the cards at two tables so that means you will need a total of 17 kits . Here's my math, in case anyone isn't sure how I came up with that number:

Morning table -- 9 at the table, but that includes you with your project. Most do not make their own project again, so that means you need 8 kits for the morning. Your project will stay at your morning table and you will move (as a group) to a new table for the afternoon.

Afternoon table -- 9 at the table but all of the projects will be new-to-you. So, 9 kits are needed for the afternoon.

That said, you will want to have extra parts available in case of "oops".

And, last but not least, you will need four completed copies of your project.

I will also post this on the first page of the thread in Post #1 so it can be found again.

paddenl 03-27-2013 07:13 AM

Thanks for the clarification. I was all set to make 40 cards.

lindylou1220 03-27-2013 08:03 AM

Good thing I put a stop to that last night, Lorraine!

lindylou1220 03-27-2013 08:04 AM

Gayla, thanks for changing your post to show the number at each table. You are getting so tech-y.

Craf-T-Bear 03-27-2013 08:43 AM

The final count for the SHOEBOX (including the extra's we need) is what???

Dzzylzzie 03-27-2013 08:53 AM

Shoebox of 17 sounds manageable.. I will probably have about 8 extra kits for oopseys.. and if anyone else wants to do one also...
My 3x3's are done, my shoebox is ready to go... just need to figure out my NVR...

Lizz, since you brought this up, I wanted to let everyone know that they are welcome to do any trading of kits (and the making thereof) but ONLY AFTER EVERYONE at the assigned table is done.

I have had people express frustration to me at past events where they felt hurried along to finish and/or getting to a certain spot and finding no supplies for their use. I hope that the ladies who are heading up the tables will try to keep a handle on this.

Everyone stamps at a different speed and no one should feel like they *must* be done at a certain point. Although, don't be surprised if people need to eat lunch next to you while you're stamping. Table space is at a premium at this location.

Pam29 03-27-2013 10:08 AM

Like Lorraine, I'm so glad you clarified this, Linda. I, too, thought I was making 40+ kits. Whew!

lindylou1220 03-27-2013 01:29 PM

Sorry for the confusion. I am usually quicker with the details but time got away from me this time around.

Trust me, even those who are fastest would be hard pressed to get 40 shoeboxes done in that amount of time! Whoa.

Kewl Kat 03-27-2013 01:33 PM

ok. I got it
17 shoebox kits plus extra's and 4 done

If we are making one for Linda and her helper the counts would be
Recipe - 22,
3x3 - 28,
NVR 31,
ATC - 22,
Twisted - 13,
Stampin' Up - 18.

lindylou1220 03-27-2013 01:35 PM

BTW, if anyone is interested in working on their projects together in advance of the event, you are invited to do that at my house on Saturday, April 13 starting around noon. I have a class scheduled that morning but do expect that we should be done by then or shortly after.

If you are interested, I thought we might order in some pizza and have lunch before we get to work. I would like to have some inkling of a number so, if you're planning on it, please let me know. I do have quite a bit of room, but it's not unlimited.

Craf-T-Bear 03-27-2013 01:41 PM

I too am glad to hear that we don't have to make 40 shoebox! So, I think I'll just make around 25, that way I'm covered all the way around for "oppsies", "extra's", and if people want to trade. ;)

I have my 3" x 3" cards all finished! YEAH! :D

I have my Door Prize in hand! ;)

And as soon as I ship out the packages for my 6" x 6" Paper Swap, I will be working on my NVR's and Shoebox's. WHOOO HOOO!!!

Thanks for the interpretation, Becky. Sometimes I need many words to say just a little bit.

I was really wondering how on earth that was possible! :)

Dzzylzzie 03-29-2013 08:29 AM

Happy Easter everyone...
my granddaugter is on spring break with her sister and mom.. so
I'm working on my NVR... just a little coloring and I'm done!..and I have all week to finish, besides...!
Have a Happy and Blessed Easter.

Craf-T-Bear 03-30-2013 09:04 AM

Happy Easter Weekend Ladies!!!

My 3" x 3" are done! Check.

My coloring for my NVR's is done! Check

Now I just have to assemble my NVR's and then work on my Shoebox.

Much better work when I'm going at a slower pace & not waiting until the last minute to get things done. :-D

Crafty Huggles to all,
Christi
