Shoebox Project Information: This is the only mandatory part of the day which will take place first on our schedule
**Please have your shoebox completely prepared and ready to go when you arrive for the gathering. Unfortunately, I have had complaints in past years of people not having their shoebox projects ready for their tablemates to work on, making this reminder necessary. If you don't arrive with a completed and ready to go shoebox project, your tablemates are not obligated to allow you to do the project they have prepared. Being prepared means having all of the elements of your pre planned project prepared and ready for your tablemates. Tossing a bunch of random supplies on the table and instructing people to "create whatever they would like" is not acceptable. Please be considerate of others and extend the courtesy of having your shoebox project ready when you arrive. Thanks!!**
*Your shoebox project can be anything stamped*
• If you are making a card, we will make FULL cards using at least one embellishment (ribbon, brads, buttons, etc). • Quality CS is a MUST! • Please have all card pieces pre-cut. • Please bring stamps or other items for your project • Please include instructions (aka: recipes), tips and any other important information. • Please bring 3 extra completed shoe box projects. One for the hostess, one as your sample at your table and one to be donated to the church. We will not be having sets of shoebox projects as a door prizes this year as we will all be making every shoe box project. • You may make other projects keeping in mind it should not take more than 10-12 minutes to complete.
Swaps
**Due to the current circumstances, we are inviting you to swap even if you are not attending the event. You will need to either mail your swaps to me or drop off our swaps to either Lori, Stacy or myself by Wednesday, September 16. You can either pick up your swaps at the church in the afternoon on the day of the gathering or have them mailed back to you in a SASE mailer that you provide**
Please follow the requirements below and if you are joining the SU only, please use only current SU products. We consider current SU product as product in any SU catalog that is current up until the date of the gathering. Please note that if you sign up for a swap and do not fulfill your commitment, you will not receive any swaps from the others in your group.
We will have 3 swaps: 1. Full card – SU only 2. Full card – NVR 3. 3D Swap
Swaps are not mandatory – you may participate in as few or as many as you would like. Please remember to showcase your best work using quality products. You must use at least two layers and one embellishment on each swap – thanks!!
Handmade Gift Exchange I’m thinking that we probably won’t have enough people interested in doing the handmade gift exchange this year. I will keep the line on the registration form and will decide for sure when we know if there is interest or not.
Secret Sister:
[COLOR=#3D3D3D][FONT=Verdana]We are still discussing this. I am thinking that we will probably wait to do the reveal for 2019 until 2021 when things are, hopefully, somewhat back to normal. Maybe keep your same secret sister for the new year as well? My worry is that if we reveal last years sisters this year that it’s going to be sticky as so few people are actually attending. Stay tuned….
