Supplies: Basic supply kit - scizzors, wet and dry adhesives, bone folder, dimensionals
Shoebox Project Information:
This is the only mandatory part of the day which will take place on our schedule in the morning and afternoon.
All shoebox projects should have premade kits so participants can take the supplies in case they don't finish all swaps.
**Please have your shoebox completely prepared and ready to go when you arrive for the gathering. Unfortunately,there have been complaints at past events of people not having their shoebox projects ready for their tablemates to work on, making this reminder necessary. If you don't arrive with a completed and ready to go shoebox project, your tablemates are not obligated to allow you to do the project they have prepared. Prepared means having all of the elements of your pre planned project prepared and ready for your tablemates. Tossing a bunch of random supplies on the table and instructing people to "create whatever they would like" is not acceptable. Please be considerate of others and extend the courtesy of having your shoebox project ready when you arrive. Thanks!!**
*Your shoebox project can be anything stamped*
• If you are making a card, we will make FULL cards using at least one embellishment (ribbon, brads, buttons, etc).
• Quality CS is a MUST!
• Please have all card pieces pre-cut.
• Please bring stamps or other items for your project
• Please include instructions (aka: recipes), tips and any other important information.
• Please bring four extra completed shoe box projects. You will use one as your sample at your table, two for hostess gifts and one for a door prize.
• You may make other projects keeping in mind it should not take more than 10-12 mins to complete.
We will be voting on the best shoebox project for a prize.
Swaps
If you are joining the SU only, please use only current SU products. Please note that if you sign up for a swap and do not fulfill your commitment, you will not receive any swaps from the others in your group.
We will have 6 swaps:
1. SU Only - Fronts
2. NVR - Fronts 3. Holiday Tags
4. Holiday Recipe Cards
5. Holiday Gift Card Holders
6. 2 1/4" Squares
Swaps are not mandatory – you may participate in as few or as many as you would like. Please remember to showcase your best work using quality products. You must use at least two layers and one embellishment on each swap – thanks!!
Handmade Gift Exchange~OPTIONAL
We will exchange handmade gifts. Please be sure that your gift is handmade and something to do with paper crafting. Please do not bring a non paper crafted gift. For those wishing to participate, please bring a handmade gift with a value of approx. $5.00. Please be sure your gift is wrapped with your name so the person who receives it knows who to thank!!

I have been card making alone for years, but this is my first get together of this type.
I am guessing a shoebox is a card kit for each attendee plus the extras mentioned.
Am I correct? Anything else a newbie should know is appreciated. Elaine F.

Hello and welcome. Yes that is a shoebox. I will be listing all totals in August.
Just saying "Hi!" to bump this to the top and to remind myself that registration is only a few weeks away already! Hope everyone is having a good summer!
I don't want to alarm anyone,, but this is the first time i'm NOT DONE,, haven't even started... craft(crap) room is in pieces,, all over the house in boxes.. and haven't even thought about beckys event at the fairgrounds... wish me luck, can't wait to see what i come up with

Nice meeting you today at Hamburg. Forgot to tell you it's easier for stampers if the shoebox is packages individually (like today's make and takes were) with extras for oops!

I went home and designed my card before leaving for a get away. Today, I went over my measurements. Now if I can find the right sturdy, but die cutable green glitter paper, I have my shoebox idea. Yeah! 👏👏👏

Since some glitter paper seems to be on a "plastic" backer, Iver removed that and had no trouble cutting the glitter paper....you can also color white/silver with permanent markers in a pinch...for smaller items, not big things....the glitter paper Tera's up,the markers.
