NEPA Stamp & Swap
"Oh Christmas Tree"

Saturday, November 14, 2020
Doors open at 9:00 a.m.
Start at 9:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wysox Presbyterian Church
22953 RT 187
Wysox, PA 18854

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3RD AT 5PM !

You’re invited to the 6th NEPA Stamp & Swap, a day of stamping, friendship & fun! There’s a lot planned so please read everything below & if you still have questions please don't hesitate to ask.

THEMEOh Christmas Tree”. It’s NOT mandatory to use the theme but you can use it in any of your projects.

COST: $25.00 per person includes the venue and a gift bag. All funds collected will be spent on the event.

REGISTRATION:  Mail your registration form & payment to Lou Ann McGuire (address on form) or email to [email protected] then pay via PayPal using the Friends & Family option.  There are no refunds once the event is closed but you may offer your spot to someone else.  Registration must be paid no later than 5pm on Saturday, October 3rd.  Attendees are limited to 35.

COMMUNICATION: Splitcoaststampers Forum "Get it Together" will be the main way of communicating including the final numbers & other information for the event. Please subscribe to the event & check-in even after the event is closed for updates especially as the event gets closer.

ARRIVAL TIME: Doors open at 9:00am. We will begin introductions at 9:45am so we can start stamping by 10:00am.

MANDATORY SHOEBOX PROJECT GUIDELINES:
  • A full card with quality cardstock (CS) layers & embellishment(s) or a simple 3D item.
  • Projects should take NO MORE THAN 5-10 minutes to complete.
  • Bring all the supplies to complete your project including any special adhesive & tools.
  • Making kits are encouraged & helps reduce time looking for parts.
  • Supplying envelopes or sleeves are optional.
  • You need to pre-cut & score the cardstock.
  • To reduce the time of your project, you can punch, die cut or emboss but DO NOT pre-stamp.
  • Please bring a few extra parts to fix any "oopsies".
  • Projects will be set out in the morning. YOU will move, YOUR PROJECT will not.
  • Please DO NOT sit at a project if you are not working on it.   There are empty tables/chairs available & sitting at a project may prevent someone from completing that project.
  • Unless it’s very obvious what to do, write up CLEAR DIRECTIONS & include your name to post by your project.  If you are unable to print or hand write them contact Lou Ann.
  • During the "lightening round" introductions, you will VERY, VERY BRIEFLY explain reminders or anything NOT in your directions.
  • Your project supplies must stay at the event until the end unless  everyone has finished it.  If you need to leave, make arrangements for someone to pick up for you.
  • When you know what your shoebox project is, post a name for it on SCS or send me a PM.
Tip: This day will be a lot of fun but as you complete the projects, consider doing the part(s) of the projects that have to be done at the event (stamping & die cutting), take a photo of the sample then assemble later during the event or at home. This may help everyone get through all the projects.

PLEASE MAKE UP XX KITS (this includes you)!!! PLUS 2 COMPLETED!
************************************************** *************************************

SWAPS: You must participate in ONE swap. Final count & specific instructions are in the corresponding post.)
1. Artist Trading Coins (MAX size 2 ½ circle)– Final Count = XX – Post #4.

5. Gift Card or Money Holder – Final Count = XX - Post #8.
6. Variety Card (full card) – Final Count = XX - Post #9.

Please INCLUDE YOUR NAME somewhere on the swap(s) so we know who made it.  For Christmas cards, variety cards and gift card/money holders use a sticky note so it can be removed, a tag using removable adhesive or place in a bag with a tag.  For collectable swaps place your name on the back.  Also ATCoins should be number, i.e. 1 of 18.

CONTEST: This year we will be voting for the favorite shoebox project.  Votes will be cast through lunch.

FOOD: There is a refrigerator but no oven. Please indicate on the registration form the specific food item you will bring. Bottled water will be provided; bring your own soda, etc.

DOOR PRIZES: Our goal is to have something for everyone. Donations for door prizes (stamping related) are welcome.

GIFT SWAP (optional):
  • Bring a gift related to stamping.
  • Everyone who brings a gift to swap will leave with one.
  • Value should be in the $5-10 range.
  • Stamped handmade projects are appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect!
  • Include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank.
  • Wrap it up pretty so it’ll be a surprise until we’re done swapping.
EMBOSSING AREA: We will have areas set up with a heat tool & 2 Big Shots for embossing & die cutting so no need to bring your own. You will need to bring the embossing powders for your project with a tray/paper plate, etc. or embossing folders/dies for your project.

NAME TAGS: Since we all want to make new friends, bring a name tag & include your SCS name if you have one. Stamped handmade name tags are beautiful & fun to see how creative we can get but we will have generic name tags available too.

GARAGE SALE: Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin' Up! items must be offered for trade only but you can sell retired items. There is a limited amount of room so please only bring 1 tote. There will be a few tables but if you can leave your items in a tote there will be chairs to set it on. Make sure you label your items and tote with your name so buyers know who to pay. Payment arrangements are between you & the buyer(s). We are not responsible for missing items so bring at your own risk. There is no fee to sell or trade at this event.

DONATIONS (OPTIONAL):
  • Bring a non-perishable food item for our local food bank, TACO.
  • Bring any cards you no longer need (no glitter) for our military:
    • Arlene Donald - Thank You & Thinking of You cards for VFW's Operations Quiet Comfort.
    • Tina Milner - All other cards for "Cards for Soldiers"
OTHER:
  • Label your personal stamping tools including scissors, bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straightedge, etc.
  • Bring LOTS of your favorite adhesive.

  • Don't forget your camera!
