Okay gals, here's the new thread for the May 6th swap. Limited to 15 people.
This time it will be held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 10911 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD. It's pretty easy to get to off of Rte. 795.
It will start at 9:00 a.m. this time and go again until 4:00 p.m.
Anyone wishing to attend will need to bring 2 shoebox swaps with enough for 15 people to complete each swap and something to share for lunch. Once we get some RSVP's, I'll compile a list of food everyone is bringing, so we don't have duplicates.
All cards are to be full cards. Each person will need to bring enough supplies for everyone to make their cards including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc. Each person is also asked to bring their own adhesive to use on all the projects we make. You will take your adhesive with you when you go from shoebox to shoebox. Please make sure all of your supplies (stamps, ink pads, scissors, punches, etc.) are labelled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought.
There will be no charge for this swap. Hoping to have hourly door prizes. Post here to RSVP or PM me with any further questions.
We'd like each person to have typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card or project. This will speed up the process and also not have someone bugging you while you are working on something else. Your swap can be either a card (which is preferred) or if you want to go a different route, you can do some sort of project - a bag, a pin, etc. I just think a project would be more expensive for you to put together for so many people.
I've had a couple requests that everyone have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. Several people did this at the one in March, and it made it easier to just grab an envelope/baggie and start stamping. We'd like each person to do this as well if possible.
All cards or projects must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired.
We will also be doing the card ministry drawing again, so bring your cards to donate. We collected over 50 cards in March which was awesome. The box is overflowing with cards for church members to take.
Start posting your RSVP's and what you'll share for lunch. Since we had so much food and so many drinks last time, you might want to cut the amount of food you bring in half. If you are bringing the same dish (hint hint to Vera and Kristy) and it went over well, please bring the same amount to share.
Please also let me know what you did or did not like about the March event, so I can make this one better for you.
I'm almost positive I'll be there this time around too. I'll double check my calendar - but I think I'll find that I have already put the shoebox swap down. I think I'll get started now trying to decide on a card to do! Let me think about what food item I'll bring...probably a dessert.
Hello, I'll be there this time too. It was great last time. I will bring some kind of dessert. I will email my friends to check out this post and reply if they are interested. See you then, Pam
Yipee Skippee!
I'll be there...on time, this time!
I will bring coffee...
Anyone wanting to carpool, just PM me.
I'm coming from exit 77 off 95.
I can fit 5 comfortably in my van.

I'll be there too! Don't know what I'll bring food wise yet.
Last time I brought envelopes so as I stamped each card I just stamped a little something on the flap to decorate the envelope. I now have cards and envies ready to be mailed. I have already sent several of the cards. You ladies are awesome.
Count me in too. I had such a good time in March (which was my first shoebox swap). I'm also looking forward to seeing all the new people I met! Connie
That is the last weekend of my husband's vacation so if we are in town, I should be able to make it but we haven't planned out our vacation yet. Will let you know soon.
Hello Cindy, Do you think anyone would mind if I brought Courtney? I would bring a shoebox swap for her also. And a food donation. Let me know what you think. Pam
Won't be able to make this one...would you believe 3 other commitments are the same date!!! Keep me posted on the next one...and I'll miss seeing ya'll in May.
Ladies, where are you???? A bunch of you in March said this date worked for you. Please sign up, so we can get some idea of how many to prepare for.
Thanks!
Just a little "bump" for all you Maryland girls to join us for a very fun time!
THe cards we did last time were amazing!
What a wonderful variety we ended up with!
The fellowship and food was super!
You will love this!

I had a thought and want to run it by those who have signed up. If we don't get any more than 15 signing up, would you be willing to do 2 shoeboxes? You would still be preparing for 30 people - it would just be two different cards with supplies for 15 in each box. Let me know what your thoughts are on this. We could end up with more people once it get closer to the date. If there is more than 15 signed up, we'd just keep it at one shoebox per person. I just figured this way, we'd go home with approx. 30 finished cards. Think about it and post how you feel.
Okay, let's top the sign ups at 15, so everyone prepares two shoebox swaps for 15 people each. So you'll have two different card designs and two shoeboxes filled with everything you need for 15 people to complete each card. Right now, we have 13 people signed up, so I'll take 2 more sign ups if they come along. Also, please don't forget to post what you'll bring for lunch and a card for the card ministry. There will be door prizes and also at least one card ministry drawing. I'll post directions to the church once it gets closer.
So start designing your two cards and cutting your cardstock. Gonna be another fun shoebox Saturday!
Last time I brougt baby wipes to clean the stamps with. It worked out very well. I didn't end up with a dirty scrubber and messing up anyones stamps. I will be bringing them again this time. Pam
Hi!
My daughter-in-love wants to come with me!
Yipee Skipee!
So please count Sarah B. in as number 14!
THanks!
Will let you know as to what lunch item she will bring.

We now have 15 gals signed up, so the swap is full. If for some reason you cannot make it, please post as soon as you know in case there is someone else who would like to attend. I'll post directions next week to the church. Don't forget to post what you'll bring for lunch too. Looking forward to a fun day!
Well now we are back to 14. Someone had to back out. So if you were on the fence about joining us, please jump in and post. Room for just one more to come and stamp with us all day.
That's great Missy! Please post what you'll bring to share for lunch, and you do understand that everyone is bringing two (2) shoebox swaps prepared for 15 people each, right? Just want to clarify that.
