They had one booth (again, not related to stamping) but it had stuffed animals that became animals. They were soooo darn cute that Eileen and I almost bought them! I wanted the little sheep really badly!

The animals became pillows...they were so soft and cuddly! It wasn't near as big as it use to be. They only had about 1/2 of the Expo...the other half was a used kids clothing/toys thing.

I'm glad I am not the only one who thought that was bizarre! That lady was really pushy when I was standing close to her booth so I finally turned around and said...."I only have so much money to spend and I came here to spend it on Stampin' or Scrappin' supplies." I had to tell the guy at the candle booth the same thing. I could understand if it was a craft fair and they had all of that different stuff but a Scrapbook Expo? It was just weird.

Was she? She must have been cranky by people like me who just avoided her booth completely!

How strange, I wonder if they just couldn't fill the expo with stamps and scrapping, so they filled it with whatever they could. They should have called it craft expo. I hate pushy salespeople. I don't go near the mall during Christmas.

I have to admit that I'm sorry that I didn't buy that cuttlebug folder, Eileen. Rats! I went to HL to see if they had it but no, they didn't. They DID have stamps on sale! Yippee!

I wanted the one that only embossed the side of the card. It had four different designs in the one folder.

Cool

I saw those and didn't think I wanted them until I saw some cards my friend made with hers. Now I wish I had bought them because they don't have them at any of the local stores.

I got the large scallop set and the large circle set at the show for 19 each. They are my first set. Still trying to get the hang of them. Wanted to say hello to everyone, hope you are having a good week.

I have heard about them a ton, but have never seen them used in person. I would love to get together too! By the way in the announements thread there is a coupon for 40% of your ENTIRE purchase at Michaels. The coupon was a mistake, but the Michael's on Powers is honoring it anyway. The expiration date is today. I got some fun stuff with it. They have their Christmas ribbon out in the Chrismas aisle. It's sooo pretty. Lots of it is shimmery and could be used on other projects. They also have some really cute Fluffles on the endcap of the stamp aisle. Ok I'm done enabling now. Have a great weekend.

Hi girls! I am so sorry I have been out of the loop since I returned from Afghanistan. My life has been in an upheavel. Some of you have heard, but DH and I have not been doing good since I got home and about a month ago he moved out. I then went to Alabama for a month of training and returned on Friday. I start a brand new very demanding very high speed job tomorrow and I am just a ball of stress. Between, the new job, DH, I might be finding a place of my own, etc, I am about two seconds away from a break down. I haven't stamped in ages. And frankly, I don't have the desire. So I apologize for disappearing. I've just been so much a mess I don't know which way is up. This just sucks! Anyway, thanks for letting me vent, and if we have a get together, I will at least try to muster some stamping enthusiasm and show up. I haven't been reading the thread, so I have no idea what's been going on....but I wanted to say hello.

Hi Etha,

Welcome to our group. We've been trying to plan a shoebox gathering for a while now. I think now that school has started once everyone gets back into their routines, we can get one going again.

Capi, Don't forget we are there for you whether you want to stamp or not. we can get together without stamping and just socialize if you want sometime.

Etha, welcome to the group... I'm typically off M-F, but volunteer at the kids school M/W/F a.m. through lunch time. Tue. and Thurs. this and next week I'm actually working, but that isn't a regular thing.

We can get a day time group of ladies together? Would that work for most everyone? Say either just before or after lunch? I'd host, and just everyone bring what your working on ( I have a ton of swaps to work on at the momment)? If someone else would rather host let me know? Let me know, and I'd say the third Thursday of the month. My kids are all at school, so if you'd need/like to bring your little ones, please bring something to occupy their time too. I have very few toys these days for the little ones, and I do have a small dog if that is a issue (he is a malitpoo, super sweet & friendly, and does hid from children when they first arrive unless he knows them.).

Capi, I'm so very sorry to hear the waves are rocking for you at the moment. I hope things do get much better for you and soon. Please let me know if I can at least be a shoulder to cry on. I cannot imagine how difficult this year has been for you. Wishing you the best!!!

Mary

That sounds great. I have to drop my youngest off at 11:45 so I wouldn't be able to meet until 12:15. But I'd love to get together.

I would love to get together, and as long as I know ahead of time not to make other plans, Thursdays work for me. My kids are both in school, and I would love to stamp. That seems to be the thing that gets pushed aside because I have too many other things to do lately.

Hi COS people - hope you don't mind me jumping in. I am not from COS but love your city so much. I told my husband he could transfer there anytime! If you look at my blog, you will find I have been there the past 2 summers for vacation! It is such a beautiful city.

Ok, now for my question. I visited Archivers while there this summer and they told me if I ever wanted anything their store sells, they would be happy to ship it to me. I have emailed the main email address asking if the COS store had an email address and I haven't received a response back. I looked at my receipt from the store, and it doesn't have an email address. Does anybody know if this store has an email address? Would anybody be willing to ask and post it here if they find out their email address?

I'm a cheapskate when it comes to calling long distance - I prefer to use my money for other things, like stamping or vacations in Colorado Springs.......lol

Thank you so much..

Carole

Carole,

I just called, and was told that is you want something shipped best to call the store @ 719-260-9286, but here is the email: [email protected]
Also email is manned by several people so she said calling the store is best. I'm hoping this helps you out. Good luck with that.

Sure, I know you are wanting to save on the phone call. Maybe they'll be helpful with the direct email? I'm hoping so.

I just saw Joanne and Caren at King Soopers. They are hopeful in joining us on the 18th here at my house, 12 noon ish. Bring your lunch, and stamping things if your joining in. Just think it'd be fun to get together and visit as well as work on projects we have planned for ourselves. I have tons of swaps to work on, so I'll be doing that, I hope. I do have videos/dvd's for the kids if you think they'd be okay with something like that. Bring kids toys or something to keep occupied too if they need it.

Please pm me for directions to my house. Looking forward to our afternoon together.

Mary
