Not mine, but my favorite for my kids was "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day", by Judith Viorst. And my grandson (and I!) love most all of Sandra Boynton's books, but my very fave (which I couldn't find when I went shopping for Heather) is "Fifteen Animals".
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. but my mom says she used to read a book about a Dramdary camel OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. i donot remember it though
What a coincidence!! I saw a book in the store yesterday about why animals don't wear clothing. It was so cute! I almost bought it. But, I think it was by the same author as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, because it mentioned that on the back. Maybe I'll go back and get it?
I think "I'll Love You Forever" is a new classic. I, too, absolutely sob everytime I read it. Susan, I didn't know that it came in the version you can record. What a great idea for the grandkids!
Melina sent me a frog teething toy and and mysteriously wrapped yellow ball, which is a.....<unwrapping>....<giggle>...Melina, that's the BEST wrap job!! And, it arrived safely.
It's a hand decorated jar...piggy bank, Melina?
And a brag book...about a 3x3 size. Perfect for my pocket to show all the ladies in line at the grocery store, right?
Two 5x7 frame inserts. Love them!!
..And a gorgeous card!!!
piggy bank or to store first lock of hair or first lost tooth....whatever you like.
It was a food jar so I put some perfume on a cotton ball and put inside after I washed it just in case. giggle! I'm so glad it didn't break!
I'm pretty sure its one of the Hallmark ones, I know I paid something like $25 for it since its a recordable one.

Wow, its already been an hour, we may have to make Heather rip faster! Haha
Typing and unwrapping take awhile!!!
Susan sent me some of the scrapbook inserts that were talked about early in the thread. But, they're put into a cute little protective case....and they're BEAUTIFUL!!!
Should I post pics since I don't think my box arrived there yet? Because it is past a little someone's bed time and she's being very good, but I don't know how long it will last.
You are welcome. I wasn't sure what to make and you mentioned you might go with that size so I hope that works well for you. Its been a crazy month here for me or I would have tried to crochet something too.

I bought two copies of "I'll Love You Forever" right after the grandtoddler moved out. I sent one to her. Then once a week I'd call her and read it to her over the phone. The first few times I did that was NOT easy.

Oh my goodness this is such a precious thing! I'm teary eyed.
Just wonderful

I was explaining to the others, before you arrived, Heather, that I was supposed to work tonight, but I tripped on a curb this morning and my knee is the size of a football, and painful! So, between icing and elevating, I've been able to be present for your shower!! This is so very exciting!
Tess made me a beautiful "For Your Shower" card. Love the colors!!
And, I got a set of bath towels...one hooded (with a duck face!!) and one regular, covered in ducks. I love ducks. These are awesome.
And, she made me....awww, Tess...this is gorgeous!!! It's two 6x6 books. One is a calendar that I assume I can use to note "events" (yup, so says the other book) and the other is for pictures.
