Nobody's leaving nobody! It's just a matter of how soon everyone would like to get over on the demo side.

Ellie - you are wonderful - thank you for sharing your story. It puts things into perspective. If hair dye works for both of us, I think we're on to a new endevour in selling mood enhancing hair. Amy can do our marketing - she can sell anything.

Well, since I consider tomorrow to be the beginning of new things, I suggest we move it tonight and then put the link in here so people can find us. Would that work?

I would like to thank my parents, who made me the middle child. I learned early how to "sell" my ideas.

When I am resolved, I am unstoppable - ask my DH why he married me - he had no choice. It was futile to resist! hee hee....

I told mine: "OK, you can ask me now." He'd been waiting for my permission. LOL

We were best friends throughout college. We always said that once we were ready to be exclusive, that was it - we'd get married. So he called me on the 4th of July and asked me if I was going to a friend's in Caldwell. When I said I wasn't sure, he said "I've come to realize that everything is better when you are there." So of course I went. That night, he said that he thought it was time we do the boyfriend/girlfriend thing. I told him after all those years, he had to ask. So he said "Will you be my girlfriend - check yes or no" - and that was it. We got engaged in November and married the following June. It's the best story of my life - I couldn't have written it better.

First of all (((hugs))) Stacy. And good for you for wanting to do something so hard at this stressful time of year. Of course we will be here to cheer you on and like someone else said, to pray for you and do whatever we can to help. And I think it is great that you are thinking about the family thing too. Motherhood is quite an adventure.

Whenever I am about to embark on something hard, I think of the line from A League of Their Own: "If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great." You go girl.

And I loved what you said about who we are. It's easy to get lost in the daily grind and forget that we are all those things we once were, only better because we are who we are now.

I hope Jen gets her power on soon. As someone who hates to be cold, I really feel for her.

It's been so fun hearing about everyone's elf stuff. I got a really cute dish towel with a flower on it. It had the statement of the heart on the wrapper. (I'm really not explaining it very well.) I will post pictures tomorrow morning. Thanks Elf!

We've had a crazy weekend. Our friends left this morning. At one point over the weekend, my friend and I looked at each other and wondered what the heck had happened to us. We were roommates in college our Freshman and Sophomore years. Some how that doesn't seem that long ago, but now here we are all these years later watching our children play together.

And I've spent all afternoon and evening working on my nieces and nephew's presents. I have three done and the princesses cut for the fourth. I have to do the names on that one and then all the ones that need to be mailed will be done. I still have two more to do but we will see them on Christmas day so I can work on them next week.

I guess we will be off to the new thread here soon. See ya here and there and everywhere.

And Stacy that is a great story about your DH. My DH and I were also best friends in college. We didn't start dating until we were living in different states. Then we figured we'd better get married so we could live in the same state.

I am off to bed. Hoping for a good night sleep.

Stacy,
I am so proud of you! The first and most important step in quitting is admitting there is a problem, so you have done that (quite well I might add). We are there for you my friend. Here's to a new year of new blessings for all of us!

Come out, Come out, wherever you are. So some will be saying as they cannot link to the demo side. I know non demos read our thread. One of my customers commented on something in it.
See you on the other side later. I am working on contest entries today.

Hi Everyone!

Well, it has been a rocky 4 days. Hhhmmm...where did I leave off? Well, Saturday afternoon my friend had popped by to invite us to her house because she had power and it was warm. So, we did that and my dad cooked some dinner and we drank a bunch of wine and it was fun. Another friend was there with her sick child and her other kids, so the kids ran amok and had a ton of fun. We didn't want to come home (my other friend eneded up sleeping over, but we figured sleeping isn't bad in the cold with all the blankets). But, as we were driving down my street we noticed lights on! And, when we pulled up to the house, the Christmas tree was on! We had power! It came on Sat. night around 8:30. So, we put the heat up to 70 and warmed up. It took all night for the house to reach 70, as it was down to 45 in here! So, that was good news. But, still no cable/tv/phones. So, yesterday was a quiet day. And today too. Still no tv/cable/phone. We went to the Y for open swim, as the schools are all closed, as they are being used for shelters. Then a bunch of us met for my birthday lunch and that was a ton of fun. I even had a couple of margaritas, as did my friends. I am still stuffed! So, I was laying down for a bit while the boys played and I noticed the cable box was on!! Back in the land of the living!! Lights, cable, tv. The boys are sooooo excited to have the tv back. It has been a terribly long 4 days. And many are still suffering. My friend still has no power and her son has been sick with his cyclical vomitting syndrome and her husband is suppossed to lose his job today. I met a couple other friends up at the Y who still have no power yet too. So, I am lucky. We have no idea when school will reopen. I also had to cancel the cookie swap planned for tonight. Most roads are passable but there are downed wires everywhere along the sides of roads. On the door of Walgreens there is a sign that says if you don't have power yet, it will not be restored until the 21st. Unbelievable.
