Lisa, then I'll just have to check out your blog (again)! I was cruising through the convention swaps you posted and was surprized and pleased to see one of mine there. Made me feel stamptastic!

Jen - Thanks, that helps. I think I'll try a spinner at my next club and see if they're interested in other types of moving cards as well.

Happy to report that the invites are out and the christmas trees are all cut! Now I just have to get the swap cut out. My goal is to mail on Friday. That's still plenty of time, right?

Oh, and my DS didn't get one time out at school today! He got a couple before he left, but so glad that he did better on day two!

Congratulations, Paula! LOL And your son! What I want to know is, did *you* have any time outs today????

Jen, I think you should definitely be in charge of the swap if you want to. LOL I don't want to be in charge!

I'll post my SA swap on or after the "due" date.

Four batches of peaches canned today--that's all that were ripe. Hafta do some more on Friday, along with the peach freezer jam for Christmas gifts.

AND <drum roll please>, I just finished the 10 sympathy cards dh's boss wanted me to make for her mom! Just need to take pics and package them all up. Whew! It was hard for me to make sympathy cards when I don't know her mom at all! LOL Tried to get more info, but she just said whatever I did would be great. I hope she's right.

Amy - is there anything you can't do? Peaches are wonderful and we have such good ones in the valley this year.

Jen - I'm in for the Christmas swap too - I have my xmas camp on the 9th & 11th so it won't be hard to make extras for the SA Gang of my favorite one (hopefully it's not one I'm copying of yours from convention - I'll have to look at the back of them first!) hee hee.

My goal this week is to finish my 100 cardfronts (40 left - the stack doesn't seem to have a bottom!) I'm going to be my DH's designated driver all weekend as payback for him giving me last weekend to craft and this week to work late. Spent 20 hours during the last 3 days working on a report to find out they aren't going to use it... sigh... that's why I like to craft after work instead of work more - lets me know my "after hours" are never wasted.

The list of what I cannot do is long and varied. LOL

I *hate* canning, but I love eating peaches in December! And they don't have a metallic aftertaste. Canning is not hard, just messy.

Well, even though I forgot to put the time down for my class on my flier (DOH!), I've gotten 5 yes's already, someone who wants to gather friends and hold the class in the day while the kids are at school, and sold a gift cert. Pretty good!!

I am hoping to work on my SA new catty swap today while both kids are in school.......

Way to go Jen. And Amy, you are amazing! I don't can but last year I did freeze peaches last year. It was great to have yummy peach cobbler all winter long.

I finished putting together the calendar kits last night. What a chore. My goal for today is to get my SA swap and my BS swap ready to mail tomorrow. I am going to a friends house to stamp tonight. Actually, I am going to try to have everything stamped and just assemble over there.

Come on over tomorrow, and I'll teach ya! LOL Really, it's simple. Just sticky. Google it. Buy a Ball Blue Book (the Bible of food preserving). Call a university Extension office--do you have those in the East?

Well, thanks to the loan of a ticket corner punch, my swaps are DONE! Too bad I didn't know the Vanilla HPH would be available so soon, I might have waited to use that. Oh well. Maybe next time.... I hope to get mine postal today or tomorrow.....

I have three different swaps that need to be in the mail by next Thursday priority mail, so I know what I'm doing this weekend.

On Friday I have my club meeting and on Saturday and Sunday women's retreat at church.....ack!

I love fresh frozen peaches...that was about a month ago here...(My uncle used to follow the (corn I think)harvest north all summer for his summer job) we got nothin' now (produce-wise), and it is even starting to cool off! Weird weather!

Good luck, Jen!

Rhonda, I still have peaches to do tomorrow, but today I'm running errands and hopefully stamping tonite! If my kids would quit growing, I wouldn't keep having to buy shoes and pants.

Well, I finished all the stuff for our group meeting, the swaps for the Michelle's SCS FW swap, and a couple of off board challenges.

And Amy, you'll be proud of me! I placed my pre-order today and shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......

expedited!

Canning peaches! Boy, does that bring back memories! Do you ever pickle any?

I AM proud! LOL Shout it out, baby!

I have never pickled peaches! My first instinct is "ewww." LOL But probably only because I've never had them! Dh is going to make pickles next week, after I'm all done with peaches.

We didn't grow enough tomatoes this year to can--just enough to eat and some to give to my mom and the neighbors. Next year we will, though.

My order is here, and I'm too tired to do anything but pet it. Need to come up with one more card for card buffet in Oct, since I put out my samples a month in advance. I wonder what I'll do? LOL

My grandmother always pickled peaches. They are sweet and were a favorite treat in the summertime in TX.

Mom always had to make salsa. Dad grew toms, onions and jalapenos just for salsa. Drove mom nuts. Otherwise, she'd just freeze them. Once they thaw, they're mushy, but who cares if they are going into chili or soup.

I discovered pickled beets late in life. Yum. But I won't go anywhere near an unpickled one.

Can you hear me patting myself on the back from Boise? 100 card fronts done, quarterly card swap for our Boise group done, & I got my events and projects on my SU web site. I'm so happy! That means I can place my Mini order now.....

Woo Hoo Stacy! Good job getting those done.

I only got my SA swaps done yesterday not my big shot. But I don't think the Big Shot one is officially closed yet and it's not full, so I am going to have to wait for a final number anyway. The SA one will go postal today however.

My goal for today is to pack and repack for my calendar class tomorrow. I ALWAYS forget something which is one of the reasons I prefer to do classes at my house.

My first club project is finished...I'm sure it is a bad business decision to use this set before we can sell it, but my next club date is too late for them to order. (I'm suggesting to place an order October 1st.) I think any Halloween set could be substituted for it really. I guess we'll see.

My hand tries to go into a claw just thinking about 100 of one card Stacy! You go!

Rhonda - if your customers are anything like the rest of us, it just gives them something to look forward to buying - that's not a bad decision at all!

Jen - Good luck this weekend - still constantly amazed. I didn't even run when the fire was happening so there is no way I'd ever make it through a triathalon (can't even spell it let alone do it!)

Paula - Is there a sample somewhere of your catalog? We do our class in November and my mom is already done with 5 of her 6 months. Guess I'm behind again but always appreciate ideas from everyone.

I got my Ronald McDonald cards done for my camp on the 20th and there in my gallery. Now I can move into prepping Christmas in October. One session filled up in 2 days - wow! Guess I better make sure they can do those projects in 2 1/2 hours or I'll be really sleepy at work on the 10th!

Good luck with creativity this weekend ladies!

Did you mean the calendar? I posted a picture here on post #90. (Not a very good one.) This isn't a stampin' up class, so I used my cricut to cut out the titles and the tags. (The one that I posted a picture of actually used the cuttlebug, but no way was I doing that again.)

I'm very silly - yes I meant calendar and I already ooh'd and ahhh'd on your calendar - I'm slow tonight. My brain got bounced around all day at work. My manager said "I'm trying to keep up with all that you are working on" and my reponse is "then imagine how it feels on my side to be doing all these things." Hee hee. I'm going to eat and then I'll be back to full strength.

Well, food worked for me, got my card created for my faux silk technique class. It's in my gallery if anyone wants to take a look. I am also doing the card my sister did for bleaching - it's the best bleaching card I've seen so I'm stealing it. Here's a link to that card:

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...=verbarendse14

Instructions are typed up - I'm ahead of schedule - whoo hoo!

Wow ladies, I just "found" you!! It's so great to know where the SA group is once again! I've seen many of you on other threads, but it's great to see the rest of my SA friends! I completed two swaps and am working on three more. Including one that I'm hosting for manly cards. My Holiday mini swap is giving me fits. I keep hoping an idea will come. Everything I keep trying is way to time consuming for a swap and isn't something people would want to use in a demonstration or class so it's back to the drawing (or should I say stampin') board! Hope everyone is having a good weekend and getting to stamp!

Hi Sharon! I love your new avatar at the park that stamps built.

And Amy, I love your new avatar too! It's so you. I have a new hair style, even since convention. Maybe I need a new one too?

Another new style? LOL Yes, you need a new avatar! Mine was just short of 2 years old, so it was pretty out of date.

I think I am up to date on all my swaps. I'm feeling kinda "meh" about the Big Shot one, at this point. I wish I felt like it was more "for sure." I haven't cut for it, because I'm not sure how many to do!

Amy - at first I thought someone hijacked our thread! Love the new pic! So I didn't realize that the post office isn't open on Saturdays so I am still holding my 100 swaps. Looks like I'll be in late to work on Monday so I can mail them off!

Glad you found us Sharon! Great new avatars ladies!

I'm finished with my stamp club prep, but I have nothing concrete for my swaps yet...ack! So sad!

Which swaps do you have left to do, Rhonda? I have my Big Shot one designed, just waiting to hear details on it. I haven't figured out my SA Christmas swap--I'm not going to worry about that one for awhile.

I have all 8 of my projects for October Card Buffet all done and decided on (sometimes that's the hardest part!), the instructions written up, the pics taken and uploaded on my blog. Now I have to cut. <sigh> But that's the easy part, right?

I wanna make MaryJo Albright's box for business card holders. It's so cute!

hiya all! it's been a busy couple of days. I finally got my stamp room reorganized a bit and cleaned up. I got my preorder yesterday and about pee'd my pjs when I opened the box and poured over the SEVEN.. yes.. SEVEN packs of DSP I ordered. i have NEVER ordered so much paper in one order before... and I didn't get any in my new catty order. I love it ALL. i had to have it. I have a craft show in October.. so I HAD to get them right???

I think I am going to sell packs of Christmas cards and some giftcard holders.. maybe some stamped candles. I want to do something with the decor elements, but I am not sure what yet. any thoughts?

Love the new avatar Amy and Sharon! I think I need to update mine as well.. I'll do that in a bit!

tomorrow my upline Diane (StampwithDiane) and sidelines Wendi and April are coming over to stamp and play. We never get to stamp together anymore so this will be nice for a change.

today was such a gorgeous day.. 70 and no humidity.. golfed pretty well. tomorrow it's supposed to rain.. perfect day to be in stamping.

hope you all are having good weekends!

Howdy Swappers! Cute new av, Amy! I need a new photo of me in my profile.... and on my blog.... and on my DBWS.... I just haven't had another photo of me that I like as much as that one, even if it is 5 years old.... LOL!

I got something for my craft room that I've been wanting since I saw in on the CHA blogs back in what, January? February? Now that my RIBBON is all organized (and look, I still have room for MORE!), maybe it will inspire me to clean up the rest of my stamp table? LOL! Oh, and just to let you know, our 1/4" GG does NOT fit in this holder, I had to cut the spools down to 3 3/4" diameter which wasn't too hard. Had to take a few yards off a couple of the new spools that were full, but I just packaged those up as little gifts for someone, so it worked well.....

Hoping to do some stamping today.... there's a challenge I want to play with....

Liz - I feel your DSP excitement. My next order (also my pre-order) is almost all paper. It's going to be one heavy box!

Lisa - Love the organization - I've been looking for something to do with my punches to get them off my table and easily accessible. Where did you find your holder? Which challenge are you doing today? I'm still making up my mind!

Amy - LOVE the card on your blog with your Big Shot flowers. I have a customer coming over in a few minutes to finally work on those baby announceents. She's doing a "just bloomed" theme for them in Chocolate & Pink. So cute. I completely forgot that we have a grass stamp - I'm jumping back in to see if I can make a sample like that before she gets here!

Hi All
I have had a busy weekend - finally I get to pop in and see what I have been missing.

SA Swappers - received Amysings and Crazycatstampers ~ they are great!!!

Thursday was clean out the freezers to make room for a 1/4 cow and make food for DH to take with him this weekend (again helping friends with the house building project).
Friday was getting DH off and set up for Saturday's garage sale all by myself. Saturday of course then was the sale. I sold 0, zero stamps sets on my retired table - ouch. But did sell a catalog so maybe I will get a new customer out of it. Did okay otherwise, but was really hoping for some cash to help cover my pre-order from the mini. Oh well. Got most of the garage back in order last night and then this morning and afternoon I have been cleaning the house and my craft room (I needed the tables to it was destroyed on Friday). Have the laundry done and dishwasher running and even got pickles done.
