I know I have a huge addiction to stamps, (cant stop myself from ordering more, I just love demonstrating, lol) but I consider myself fortunate to have lost only 10 sets (sigh) but i knew that was coming.

My preorder arrived yesterday, and I will have a chance to play, Yeah...I can't wait to experiment with that new bee set. Not my usual style but I want to take out my aquapen, lol.

So, I met friendly Officer Bright of the State Police on my way home today. Oops! Forgot to get my car inspected. He was very nice - no ticket.

Wow, I am really out of it today - not even sure why. I totally spaced the list coming out today so haven't even been there to look at it. Which is next on the list after this. Worked and went to Chrio and just been catching up here. Took me 20 minutes sitting here thinking I am really cold today to realize the house still thinks we are at work so it is only 60 in here, duh!

Guess I better go look at the list and email my customers - will be back later.

Hey Jen - was Mr. Officer single???

I think I said earlier that I was losing 12, but it's more than that. LOL Obviously I've had some of them long enough to forget!
Thoroughly Thankful
Wishing You Cheer (hmm, might keep for awhile)
Crab & Co (my daughter is going to want this one)
Light unto my Path
Bronc Buster
Kind Thoughts
Elegant Notes (keeping--it's music related)
Stitched (JUST bought! Ugh)
Canvas
Floral
Paisley
Wonderful Words (keeping)
Beautiful Life
So Cool (might keep--good for teens)
Warm Words (keeping--I rarely get rid of sentiment sets)
Summer by the Sea (hmmm, might keep awhile)

I'll get rid of all my hostess sets except Best Yet.

So, I don't think I can do the preview swap. I haven't ordered anything and I'm not sure I'm going to. If it comes down to staying current and meeting up at convention, then that's what I want to do and I've already made minimums this quarter. I need to sleep on it though......

Now I remember why I dislike this house so much. It is so cold in the winter. My family room where my TV and computer and the kids play faces north and is on a concrete slab sunken from the kitchen and living room. The thermostat is in the living room which faces south and is always about 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. So unless I turn my thermostat way up, I freeze. We do have a gas log in the family room. I guess I could just turn that on.

The free shipping put me over the edge on the preorder thing. I am going to try to get a few more orders this month too so maybe it'll be worth it.

Don't stress over it Jen - there will BEE other swaps

Paula - we use a electric space heater to help keep the living room warmer and keeps the gas bill lower too - elec at least last year was cheaper than the gas - right now anyway that is still true. We have LP for heat.

We did try that Lisa for awhile. I wonder where that space heater went?

Confession time: My parents sent me a little cash in a birthday card last month. I was sure that my DH threw it away and he felt bad enough to replace it, plus a little more. Today I found the card with the cash. Now that I've confessed to you, do I need to confess to him?

It's not like it really matters because our money comes from the same place but I was going to spend that money guilt free on my preview order.

I have to tell ya last night I met a gal to sell her one of my Longaberger baskets...hard to part with, but trying to be reasonable and let go of things not being used. Back to story...she asked me to bring the others I was selling too cause I did not post all the photos...DH is with me (came home instead of meeting me at the Christmas party) and he is so funny telling her she needed this and that and you can use it for this and that - ended up selling her 5 baskets instead of 1! I did split the cash with DH - since he was such the salesman. I told him he should come to my next workshop and work on my customers! LOL!

He says no way! And I am not allowed to speak of his SU knowledge and the fact he gives me input and ideas...so that is a secret just between us.

Scary - I thought I lost ya'll...I clicked in the wrong forum - ended up in General Stamping and couldn't find you!

Do you all get to open one of your elf presents on Friday? When you do, will you know who your "Secret Elf" is, or will you still be guessing? I can't wait to hear what you all get!

I'm excited to open my secret elf too.....I just made my caramels and unfortunately my new more accurate thermometer helped me get them too done and they are like caramels at the store instead of being soft and yummy. poo!

Paula...our thermostat is in the kitchen! Far recesses of the house get cold, but the kitchen is 75! Weird placement--the dryer is just a few yards away too!

ACKKKKK!!!! My parents are coming today instead of tomorrow, because my mother can't stop watching the weather channel and is afraid of the storm that is suppossed to come through late Thursday night into Friday. The house (upstairs) isn't clean, now I have to make something for dinner and I am freaking out! I am watching a friend's daughter right now - yes at 7 in the a.m. since she had a dentist appt. When am I going to get this all done?

take a deep breath and make a list, (a list always makes me feel like I have some control in my life, lol), and realize that even if the house isnt clean they will still love you and you will still feel inadequate Mom's can always find something wrong with the house, lol And throw a quick crock of chili or something easy and warm and low maintenance.

You can do it Jen! One step at a time. Good luck to you!

I have a lot of cleaning to do today too to get ready for our guests on Friday. My neighbor and I are going to tackle some Christmas presents tomorrow so I have to get as much done today as possible.

Just checking in for a few minutes this morning. Jen, those kind of unexpected surprises kind of throw me off the edge. How nice, tho, to have your parents coming. I hope you can get everything done so you can enjoy their visit.

Rhonda - caramels! I'll be sure to stop in at your place today LOL!!!!

I watched 2 very active little boys Mon and Tues - they were cute, but all their energy wore me out! Thank goodness I have daughters who are very good entertainers and could take turns helping out.

I'm finally going thru my 600+ blog posts in my google reader - I'm way behind. It's finally cold here in OK, and it's nice to just hunker down with a blanket and my laptop and have some quiet time.

Helen is right Jen---put something in the crock pot! Hurry though it is almost 11 in the East isn't it?

It is cold isn't it Kathy?....supposed to be 60 again by the weekend though. You'd be welcome to get some caramels, but I'm requiring a waiver for tooth damage.
I've decided to call them toffees.

Have a great day all! I want to stamp, but I need to make fudge and get ready for stamp club...it is at one of the girl's houses this time so I need to pack up.

Had a good stamp club last night! They had asked to use the Watercolor Wonder Crayons, and now they're hooked. LOL Should be close to a $300 party.

Just remember Jen, they're coming to see your kids, not your house.

Congrats!!! What set did you use to showcase the WWC Amy? Do you think Petal Pizazz would be a good one to use? (I don't even have any WWC yet, but I'm considering it.)

I have one stamp club member who has a degree in graphic arts, so I always have to "go the extra mile." First I demo'd crayons direct to stamp, on the Upsy Daisy silhouette image.

In their supply bag, I gave them several sizes of papers that would work: piece of SU watercolor paper, 2 quarter sheets of Naturals White, 1/4 sheet of Shimmery White. I had out the StazOn and the retiring summer by the Sea (didn't know it was retiring when I planned! go me!) and Level 2 Serene Spring. They could stamp anything they wanted and color it. I had out all 4 families and the neutrals. Oh, I also gave them a piece of acetate, so they could scribble some WWC on there to take home and use to color.

I sold aquapainters and blender pens and paper and crayons. Oh, and a cutter kit. They really had a good time doing a free-form kinda thing. I might do that more often.

ETA: I think Petal Pizazz would work for crayon-to-stamp. I didn't use it because I can't sell it yet.

I love my crayons too. I don't water color as much as I used to so they don't get a lot of love but they are my favorite way to color.

My desktop is down again. This ancient laptop is killing me.

I just came up with an idea for my nieces and nephews Christmas gifts. Now I just need to find a friendly neighbor who has the cricut cartridge I need. I have two that have them so one of them is bound to have the princess one.

Thanks for your condolences on my 'baby grand', but I am happy to say I am looking at a brand new scratch and dent free baby grand. It is so beautiful. I told everyone they had to stay away from it for today! LOL!! I'm trying to enjoy its 'newness' (all with kids and husbands will understand). Even though my living room is toy free supposedly. I went through the no lego, playmobil, errector building on the piano or bench. No fort or house building on or under the piano. No hiding things (treasure hunting) in the piano. It is not a buffet or a games/puzzle table. I think I had much more to say, but saw their eyes glazing over after awhile.

Haven't even looked at the retiring list but will do and see what I'm losing. Hopefully a lot. I want to start fresh with my stamp purchases. I am doing some reorganizing of my stamps and it will be a great time to clear out.

I would have waited for free shipping on my pre-order but oh well, now I might have to look at some scrapbooks and paper.

If I was closer or even in the states, I'd help you out, you know I have all the disney ones they offer (whoops, not Cars)! If you need some assistance I would still help. It could get there in a week possibly.

Cool! Direct to stamp is what I meant for PP. (I could use Inspired by Nature with the direct to stamp then water-spritzing thing too) I'm thinking of doing your class/club for spring if you don't mind.....I only have Stamp Club tomorrow night (for which I've already cut) until after the new catalog comes out. Free form could be really fun and helpful....some of my club girls don't work at home very well. (where to start, what to do etc)

I'm afraid the stress would get to me if I had a graphic arts major in my club!

Thanks Erin. You're the best. I found a neighbor with the princess ones so I am set. I have the Mickey and Friends and I think my nephews would be happy with that. Kind of wish I had the cars one, but I am still waiting to hear back from another neighbor and she might have it.

And so glad to hear you were able to get your piano taken care of quickly. One of these years, we will get one too but likely not a baby grand unless we move to a bigger house. I haven't played for years but would love my boys to take lessons when they are a bit older. And I loved your lecture.
