hmm my bday on Friday!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH... besides that.. (I got my bday celebration this weekend) I have to put order back into my scrap room.. and sigh.. I lost my camera... sniff,sniff... hubby said he has my old camera so I will have to use that till I get some pennies to get a new one.. only good thing is that when I was at the hotel I downloaded the pics cause if not THEN I would hae had a nervous breakdown! lol..
what I have learned everything happens for a reason... so I will let it go...
hmm besides that I HAVE to finish my newsletter cause its already late!!! and start to think of my classes for next month and clean around here thats what I have planned for today and this week... OH and I did join 1 swap! LOL.. so I have to figure out what I am going to do.. and I want to do a couple of sketches..
Today I have Jack's conference at school with the ex.
Then drop Drew off at school.
Then I'm going for a long swim - my legs are so tight after 2 days of jogging.
Then maybe home for an hour to stamp (?), though I should run to the grocery store.
Then teach CCD.
Help Jack with homework
Dinner
Bed
See, this is why I have no time to stamp!!!! LOL!!
I got a quick note from my friend....her husband's whole family is in town to be with him. (He is the youngest of 6) Even an old friend is flying in from China/Hong Kong. I invited her out for a quick walk....I knew she wasn't going to accept, but at least I put the thought in her head that she needs to get out for some fresh air, you know.
Let's see, A.J. is the VIP at school this week so this morning, I have to finish his poster (so far, only his name is on it). Spencer wants a track built for GeoTrax ASAP too. And I have an order to finalize this morning for misc people.
This week:
-Finish up the left over Christmas cards from my buffet last weekend.
-Design projects for club next week.
-Figure out if I really am doing a workshop next monday for my friend's SIL. (She was out of town all last week).
-Finish all the prep for the calendar class I am doing next Saturday
-Start and hopefully finish the adoption annoucement
And most importantly, find some peace in my house! We are off to a rough start around here today. I knew AJ was spoiled (I am not sure how you have an only child that isn't) but it has become painfully obvious in the past week just how spoiled he is. He's already grounded this morning just for being disrepectful to me three times. (Three strikes=grounded at our house).
And we start Spencer at the Children's Center this week. It's a special place here that offers counseling services to the under 7 crowd. Lots of play therapy, family and group therapy. He's making the adjustment pretty well, but he has some serious abandonment issues that need to be dealt with. Right now, I can't leave the house without him or he cries the whole time I am gone. And who can blame him. I would have them too if I were him.
Hope the rest of you are off to a good start this week!
Good morning! Today I have my yearly woman exam! yipee! I've been cleaning this morning, I have a class on Saturday. I have some work to get caught up on and I'm hoping to have some crafty time too!
Ellie - great picture of you and Shelli! Sorry about your camera, maybe DH will get you one for Christmas
Hi Stacy and Kim!
Amy - Sounds like a full day for you! Don't envy the dentist DD...as I have recently been through all that! Love the plate btw!
Paula, so sorry your morning is not starting out well. Adjustments are a challenge to us all, especially the little guys who have not learned coping skills yet and still see the world in absolutes. Abstracts are so hard for those little ones. {hugs} It will get better and don't forget to stop and pray, it really helps refocus. I hope the rest of your day/week levels out.
Jen, You are a good friend. It is important to keep connected even though it might not seem like much to just call for a minute or offer a walk (even though you know they won't take you up on it)...they will remember that and it really does impact them. Sometime I will share about when my friend Missy died...Anyway - keep it up. Have a great swim and rest of the day and smile all you can in front of the ex (makes em wonder what's up with you ;) ).
Crissy - don't envy you that appt...I should be scheduling mine too, but have been putting it off!
I am trying to regroup my craft room after taking half of it to the crop on Saturday. Then work on a couple birthday cards I need to mail and my secret elf gifties. Waiting for Mr. Brown to deliver my BS alphabet! Can't go anywhere today cause the car is broke and DH won't get to it until after work. I also have to clean up a bit around the house and fill the bird feeders.
OH! and I have a swap due this week that I have NOT even thought about yet!!!
Hello all!
I take a break for a day and come back to find another page or so already filled up here!
Kim, so glad you're back!
Erin, hope you had a good rest and your DD sounds wonderful!
Crissy, have 'fun' at the doctor.
Lisa, sorry about your vehicle. Enjoy your day at home. Enjoy your new Alphabet!
Ellie, sorry about your camera. That would be a great loss for me, even tho it's a few years old and I'm dying to upgrade.
And to the rest of you - good luck with all that has to be done today!
Today is my hostess club. I don't know why it always takes me a whole day to get ready. And I haven't figured out how to do it without it stressing me out!
I have a quick question that I know someone here can answer for me - I want to make acetate boxes tonight. What kind of acetate do I use and where do I get it? (It ticks me off sometimes to see these kinds of questions asked over and over again here, when the question has been answered a zillion times. Now I am THAT person. SORRY!!!)
Hi Kathy--Go to Staples/Office Max/Office Depot and go straight to the copy center. Ask them for heavy duty acetate, like they use for calendar covers. Staples charged me about 50 cents a sheet. :-)
If you had asked last week, I wouldn't have known the answer! I learned Friday not to ask anybody at Staples, because they just sent me over to the transparencies. Not what I wanted. :-)
The only problem with going to bed so early is that I was up early. Not a morning person. I have a stamp camp tonight. It was pre-paid. Within 3 days it has gone from 8 to 6 to 4 to 2 to 3 to 2 to 4. It's driving me crazy!!!!!!! So as it stands it is at 4 but paid for 8. The other 4 are picking up their kits (consumables) and are on their own for stamping.
It is Remembrance Day tomorrow in Canada and so my two DS are laying wreaths. Received the email this morning. Talk about short notice. Glad we were planning on attending the service anyways but now I have to clean and iron some cub & scout uniforms.
Have a great day everyone as I am finishing prepping for tonight and have more will power than some of you... well not really...it's just that it doesn't notify me anymore when someone responds so it takes me awhile to catch up!

So, I skipped the swim. I went out for Indian food with friends instead! I was in carpool line and my friend ahead of me called and said for me to come, so it was sooo much fun! I am so full - it was lunch buffet, that I feel like I'm going to explode. Then the three of us went to Mike's and I spent some $ just getting things I needed. Glass ornaments were half off - yes, I'm sure I have some in my stash, but I cannot find them!! I had the 50% off coupon so I broke down and bought that Pixels toy (that used to be Aqua Dots last year) for the kids. I also bought them some ornaments to make for relatives as gifts. It was fun to see all the Christmas stuff out, but did you know that Santa is already at the mall? What's up with that? I thought he didn't come out of hiding until Thanksgiving? Now I have to get ready for CCD while lying food-comatose on the couch.
I think the fact that you ARE having a rough time with the kiddos means that your kids are adjusting just fine! You have exited the honeymoon stage and that is perfectly normal!! Good for you for getting right on the counseling. I'd worry if they weren't testing you!!

Or is there something else that I really need? Now's your chance to enable me!!!
Get the DVD tins if they have them....I bought mine from effectuality and they were expensive on shipping.
Here it is on my projects blog http://thestampinbunnyprojects.blogs...mber-20th.html in the Haiku paper....I have a bunch in the Maine bluebberry now too so I'll take a picture tomorrow when I finish covering the legal pads.
Now, if we could bring Dashing back to life I'd be all set. WTH didn't I buy more when it retired???? I am really in mourning...none of the other Christmas/winter papers do it for me....
Wow!! I got post #1988!! That's the year I graduated high school!!
I do have a facebook account, if anyone wants it!
Hey Lisa,
I'd love to see the pages you got done!
I don't know if it's true in your case, but everytime I do a page and it takes 15 minutes it looks awesome, like it took hours!! And everytime I spend hours on a page, well, it looks like carp and it took 15 minutes! Hope that's not true in your case, but I'd love to see some scrapbook pages to get me motivated again!
Evening ladies! My day was mostly uneventful. Everthing went well at the doctor and I asked them if they could refer me to a therapist or something about my weight. I have been yo-yo ing and I am 10 lbs away from my highest weight, and I don't want to get there again, but I am getting so depressed about it! They are going to call me if they come up with something. Why does food have to taste so good?
Only got one craft made today, a little gift bag for my friend. We are supposed to be going to lunch tomorrow and her birthay is next week. I hardley got any work done today...gosh, now that I think about it, what the heck did I get accomplished today! Oh well, tomorrow is another day right?
so Lisa, pretty convenient that your car isn't working the day your alphabet is scheduled to arrive? hmm...fishy, if you ask me! Just kidding! I'm sorry, I know it sucks having to fix your car!
Rhonda - I'm with Jen and Lisa! Great projects! I have a hard enought time justifying convention, let alone going somewhere for a 2 hour class!
So, Amy is getting kickbacks from: Bind it All (and Bonnies site that sells it); Sizzix/Stampin' Up re: the alphabet; ATG Gun; Scor Pal; Staples, Office Max, Office Dept...hmmm, there must be more, she's enabling like a maniac? Who am I missing? :-D I suppose somebodies got to do it, right? :p

You'll be making things easy for your Elf-er if she has that paper! LOL!
I've never been on Facebook....I'm not holding out on you
It was a good evening. My ladies loved my cards - which will be on my blog tomorrow. The wanted simple and simple it was. Thank goodness.
I decided to postpone the acetate boxes until next month. Too much stress, too late in the day. But thanks again, Amy, and I'm picking up acetate next time I'm out to make sure I know exactly what I'm doing with them.
Instead we made sourcream containers out of vellum. I had them stamp snowflakes with silver encore, then dumped iridescent ice EP over it. Beautiful! It was a hit! (It helped that I had lots of Kisses to go inside them. My ladies LOVE their chocolate!)
Rhonda - your projects are great. I hope you get a good turnout.
Jen - I've only had Indian food once before. It was pretty good. A buffet sounds wonderful!

I know exactly what you mean. I will try and post a photo or two tomorrow.
Crissy....I'd like to lose too....I just wish I wanted to lose weight more than I liked food!
Me too. I am in the same boat as you Crissy...about 10 lbs away and feeling rather depressed about the whole thing. Problem is my cure for the depression is ice cream...Cold Stone of course.
Alpha...did get it, opened the box...punched out a few letters for a project...but did not play with it too much...yet! I found some pre-cut paper supplies from previous kits/SAS so made them into Christmas cards. That was productive.

Good morning everyone...sounds like everyone has a pretty busy week. I have 2 more days to work and then I am packing/finishing projects/stressing, etc for my first ever Ladies Stamp Retreat weekend in the mountains. I love to go to these weekends, but it is a little different when you are hosting the weekend and have all these classes to make sure you are ready for. Thus, I have been mostly off the board the past few months trying to be productive. But, things are coming together nicely, I only have one more cookbook and the rest of the Country Living Kit to make as a sample, and all the samples are made. Then, I have to cut the paper for the Stamp a Stack and pack. Busy week, but the weekend will be soooo worth it. Thanks to a wonderful SA swap, my Christmas Card Stamp a Stack was done in a flash. Thanks bunches to all of you for wonderful ideas!
Have a great day!

Hi Angie!
Your retreat sounds wonderful! I could really use such an event right now. I can't even begin to imagine hosting such an event! Good luck with everything - I'm sure it will all come together and everyone will have a great time.
I'm up trying to organize my day, but having more fun playing on the computer than organizing!
I think we'll take a trip to the library and find some new books to read. The weather is getting colder and I love to have a good read and a warm blanket to hunker down with.
No school today for Veteran's Day. The boys let me sleep until 8, which was nice! We'll probably have pajama morning and then run out to do errands later.
I'm in the need to lose weight category too! It stinks doesn't it?! I hope all of you who are struggling get your thyroids checked! Unforutnately, being on thyroid meds doesn't solve all your weight problems, but at least you know why you can't lose weight!
