Also, I can't find my SA badge that Pam made us!! I want it for my scrapbook! It must be with the Decore Elements sample that I can't find. I'm really upset about my badge though. I have a picture (not the best) with Heather, Crissy, KimC, Pam, Carrie and myself (the late ones) with the SA sign and I wanted my badge to go on that page.

Erin, can you post or email the "late" SA photo? I would like a copy. Sorry you cannot find your badge...I hope it turns up. Did you get your swaps yet?

I am with Jen...I want to go to Hawaii too!

I am here via my cell phone while waiting for the doc. Did I mention this thing is wicked cool!

Hi Erin,

I think you can change it if it is your real name, and you want a less specific username. Contact one of the mods, and they can help you.

Whew! I stayed in bed this morning until 11 a.m. I woke up at 8, but listened to a book on tape and played Scrabble on my PDA. If I cheated I could win big time LOL!

This is really embarrassing, but at the bus station in Tulsa, I was dragging all our luggage up the ramp into the bus station (we had to switch buses), and the top of my croc sandal caught in the crack of the cement and sent me sprawling. I mean really flying! I landed on my elbow and my hip, face down. And do you know what my first thought was???? "Thank goodness it's only 'bus' people who saw me!" (you have to see 'bus' people to understand). The second thought was, "Oh carp!!! I broke my crocs!" The very crocs I bought for convention (thanks to SCS enablers!) and they have great sentimental value to me!

Anyway, I am VERY sore today. Walking around like an old lady.

Erin - sorry you can't find your badge. I think it was great that Pam would make those for us.

Lisa - I'm so JEALOUS of your phone. I am a gadget junkie! I hope that the docs can figure out something for your shoulder.

Liz - I hope your dog is okay. You are lucky to be able to work from home.

Rhonda -aren't our SA sisters the most thoughtful, most wonderful?!

Jen - This certainly has been a rough few days for you. I hope things are turning around.

Ellie - I think the scrapbook thing is such a great idea. Priceless!

Crissy - love your card on showcase! What a talented stamper!

Amy - wish I was your neighbor so you could 'share' your new alphabet!

Hugs to everyone else!

P.S. I am SO excited for our elfette thing! I think I'll have all of mine put together in the next week. Now, how to get it sent without giving away that it's from me. Hmmmmm.

My alpha will be here on the 10th. I am happy to share too

Doc not very helpful!!! GRRRRR...anyway, wanted to do an MRI looking for a possible tear, not a complete tear but possibly a partial tear...well economically not really good for me and my major medical plan (costs $1500 for MRI out of my pocket)...too soon for another cort shot...ended up with a steroid dose pack and instructions to continue PT (duh!). Give it a month then he will do another shot...that doesn't work, then we get the MRI and go from there. Guess there will be no snowmobiling for me this winter.

Enough with the vent. Making spaghetti for supper tonight.

I got 5 gifties made last night! Ohhh how fun. And I have 2 more started.

Amy - I saw you enabling on the Jami swap thread...

Kathy - sorry about your fall! OUCH! Take care of those aches - if it is still within 48hours use ice and ibuprofen.

We've moved 20 times in 24 years of marriage - and no, my DH isn't military. He's medical management, which means basically that when medicare stops reimbursing a program, he loses a job and we move to where the jobs are! We've lived in UT, TN, TX, OH and now OK. We may end up in ID at some point - I wouldn't doubt it LOL!

Sorry about your shoulder--that's so hard when it can't get "fixed." I bet that alphabet will help, though.

Oh girls, so much to catch up on. I have my usual school stuff, but I can almost see the light at the end of this semester's tunnel!

I am putting together an address/birthday list for everyone, so if you haven't PM'd me with your info, send it to me. I'm so jealous reading about the secret elfette stuff, but I just couldn't commit. I still have to send out my Christmas card swaps, before Christmas, lol!

I should be working, but my boss is out of the office today and I just can't seem to concentrate on my work, bad me. Maybe I'll sneak home and finish my paper.

Have a great day!

Any one out there? Scallop Circle or pillow box die?

I just realized I didn't order enough Decor Elements for my class on Saturday so I have to place an emergency order right now and of course, I can't just place it for one decor element! Which die should I get for sure right now. (I'll get the other one during SAB for sure.)

Paula - I think I would go with the Pillow Box Die, but that's just me

It is very cute and would be perfect if you wanted to make little treat boxes for Christmas.

Erin - don't know the answer to your question, but be sure to let us know if your name gets changed

Ellie - Yay for you for getting your swap designed!

Kathy - Sorry you feel at the bus station! Hope you are feeling better!

Lisa - sorry the doc wasn't much help! It is so frustrating when you need medical tests that are so expensive and you have to decide what to do. What if you do the MRI and nothing shows up, then you paid all that money for nothing. On the other hand, what if you don't do it and it shows up and could have been fixed right away? tough call! Congratulations on getting your gifts made! I went shopping today and bought a few things and I think I have an idea for all 12 gifts! Now I just have to get busy making them!!

Missi - Glad you popped in to say Hi! Good luck on your paper!

Kathy- Sorry about your crocs and your spill. I'm such a klutz and can sympathize with anyone falling because I've done so much of it myself. (No, not a battered wife, I actually did fall down the stairs again!) I am jealous you got to stay in bed though. AJ was up at 5:00 a.m. again this morning! It was snowing and he wanted to go outside and play in it. He even cleaned his room after I sent him back to bed. Guess I can't complain about that, just the lack of sleep I've been getting.

Missi- Good luck with school. You can do it. Not too long before the semester is over. Right?

Lisa- Sorry your appointment didn't go better. I hate how expensive medical care is. What a pain. Literally.

Well, if I do have to cancel and expedite, maybe I should break down and get that Serif Essentials alphabet too. That would make the expediting worth it since the hostess benefits would cancel out the extra expense, right?

I use a flat rate priority envie - usually that is best - Dori the post lady says it would be that much anyway!

you need both the scallop circle dies AND the pillowbox. But if you have to choose, I would probably get that cute pillowbox die first. It is so easy to make those little suckers. LOL

Paula, I would go for the pillow box first. But both would be my actual answer as I have both!

I just don't honestly think there is anything there to find in an MRI...went through the same thing with the other shoulder too and did have the MRI. This one is just being more stubborn about getting better (me, stubborn...nah).

Got spaghetti stewing and dishwasher running and laundry at least sorted. Going to see what trouble I can get into shopping after dinner I still need more gifties

Umm, err, that would mean I would have to actually figure out what I'm doing. LOL And I have to have it figured out in the next 2 days! Eeek. I have several things made, even more ideas not yet made. Maybe tomorrow and Friday. It won't post till Tuesday, though, because that's the day of November's first card buffet.

My alpha should be here Friday--do I want to do a pennant thing or that folded thing?

Am I doing the stand up tree with the pennant dies?
An ornament? More than one?
I want to make that holiday notebook in SCS Christmas projects.
My stamped plate is done.
Need to make some tags--there are some cute ones in the challenge winner thing on SU's demo page.
I'm thinking a card organizer, too.

And I have to decide on 2 Christmas cards. I usually focus on Christmas gifts--call it the Christmas Gift Buffet. As you can see, I pretty much have it under control. NOT! LOL

Hey Ellie! Glad you got your nail fixed. Sounds like crunch time for you!!!

no dinner tonight for us because we had lunch at Cheesecake Factory and I am still full! And we didn't even get Cheesecake, which is the whole reason we went there. The serving sizes are just way too big!

Amy - do you seal your tile coasters? I always have, I'm just curious what others do. I've searched all over these boards and everyone does it a little differently

Do you know that before convention I only had a few events, mostly an open house or something like that and I never charged. I'd only get 2 maybe 3 people show up and maybe 1-2 orders. Well after convention I started having "classes" and charging and I have had at least 4 at every class, I had 10 at my Christmas Card class and I have 7 confirmed and paid for my tile coaster class with an additional maybe and 2 others that couldn't make it that day and wanted to know if I would could do it another day. Isn't that crazy? Now I have only gotten a couple orders out of all my classes, but I am at least making enough to buy the supplies, which is going towards my minimum and therefore keeping me going, so I am happy.

Sorry to ramble, I was just thinking of that today and thought it was funny...a good funny.

I was a tile coaster virgin, so it was all kind of an experiment. LOL On the leaf one, I used craft inks and baked them. But they never set! I don't know why?

So after all that baking and cooling, I just sealed it. The other one is done in Staz On and Sharpies, but it was still rubbing off a bit after 24 hours, so I sealed it, too! I just did one or two really light coats. I'm going to make my customers run outside and spray into a box!

Thanks! When I did mine I baked and sealed, but I am not sure if that is overkill or not, I was thinking about doing it again without baking and just sealing.

I am hoping the weather holds up another week so I can send everyone outside too. Otherwise I was going to send them to the garage, at least.

I have a covered front porch, so they'll just have to tough out the cold. LOL I probably wouldn't bake this time. Just let it sit for 15 minutes to dry, then go spray it gently.

So you know that order I tried to place this afternoon. Guess who didn't hit the submit button! Doh! I just submitted it and will probably be canceling it at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow so I can reenter it and expedite the shipping.

And in my latest bid to win mother of the year: AJ complained he was so tired and that his legs hurt him today. I thought waking up at 5:00 am and wanting extra attention were the reasons. So I sent him to school and then made him go to basketball. He complained the whole time. Brought him home and sure enough, he has a temperature of 100.7? Not super high, but high enough to know that he really is sick.

Ellie and Crissy - I love cold stone too. It's the thing my three BFFs and I do when we get together. Thank goodness I live 700 miles away from them or I'd be 700 lbs.
