I actually have two blogs out there in cyber space somewhere and Lisa and Crissy are right, it is very easy. One was my personal one for family and friends and a stamping one. I just got a DBWS though so I think I might let my stampin' one idle for a while. My personal one hasn't been updated since February. (Yikes!)

I love your faux metal too Amy. I knew I forgot to put something on my order this week (silver paper and silver EP).

I am a horrible blogger.. I blog so randomly that I forget that I have one. I really want to do it more.. but sometimes I don't even make it into my stamp room... let alone have time to blog about it.

I really want to change my format of my blog, but I can't find one that I like. I know there are millions out there, but the one I have is the only one I found that has dog pawprints on it. BUT it makes all my pictures look blue too. so I think my frustration with this has made me not want to post on it.

I finally took the time to get my DBWS set up yesterday. That took me a bit longer than I planned. everything was loading so slowly. I am going to wait to upload more projects once things slow down a bit on the SU site.

anywho.. I so don't want to be at work today. My order comes tomorrow though! woo hoo! bad thing is.. I have a conference call to our Australian company tomorrow night until 6:30. so I won't get home from work until after 7:30.. oh the torture that will be.. to know that my BS is at home sitting unloved while I am talking business..

ok. done blathering for now! hope I didn't bore you with my drivel!

Hi there ladies.
I am taking a break from cleaning my stamp room to pop on to see what's going on...What a chore I got myself into. DH came home to me pounding on the wall and asked what I was doing...he came home early, I was using power tools! I was mounting rails on the walls for my punches...similar to the Ikea ones only bought on clearance at HD. I bought 4 of the 16" ones...shoulda bought more! I got all my big punches out ~ well not all...but none of the smaller ones. The rails are full at 6 each. At least I was able to clean out two of my drawers ~ one is already the new home for BS dies. I still need to make room for all my goodies that will arrive tomorrow...guess I better get back to work!

And DH just informed me that dinner would be nice...what is he thinking!?!

Dinner? You'd think he would have gotten use to that when we were all in that final swap drive.

I think he thinks he got his wife back after convention...

I am making progress on my room, but if he comes home early again tomorrow, I am in big trouble and will have to resort to flashing! I am pretty much down to "what do I do with all these beautiful swaps". I can see my floor and some of the desk top again. I really wanted to ink rubber tonight, but don't think I will get that far.

Great blogs ladies!
Liz, I love your dogs, and your stamp room!
Amy, your faux metal tags are darling! I've got to remember to order that burnished silver paper and give this technique a try.
Amy, the glass slipper is beautiful! I wish I could have seen it for real. The diaper cake is darling too.
Lisa, I like how you've got your calendar posted. I need to have my club schedule worked out like that.
Well, I think I might try this blogging thing. Hopefully I'll have time this weekend, after the million and one other things that "have to get done"
I'm still hoping that my order might come Friday. It they pick it Thursday, then it will be here! I've got an idea in my head for the new catalog swap I'm in, and I can't wait to see if it works out.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I only used Basic Gray cs for my faux metal. Cheaper, and I already had some!

Okay, I need some positive vibes from everyone tomorrow. I have a meeting at 10am to find out what our new org structure looks like at work and where my job falls in it. I know I have one (plus I don't think anyone wants mine!) but I'm really anxious about who I'm going to report to. I have had some bad supervisors in the past and I'm completely nervous that the mood I've been in for the last month where everything has a silver lining will just turn into a rainstorm! I just hope that they took into consideration that managers need to be accountable for themselves AND their employees.

That's what I like about SU! They have made some changes but they have stood behind them and have taken the time to explain them and solicit feedback. It hasn't all been good but they haven't let people sit in the dark and wonder if there is anything they can do to make it better. It has been really refreshing for me to see that so that I can try to bring that into my workplace!

Anyhow, that's my vent. Back to work. We go to Sun Valley this weekend and I just got a request for 15 reports requiring audits and cleanups that have to be done by Friday at 3pm! Whew!

I finally found my SA home!!! I have missed you lovely ladies.

I took a week of sleeping, laying around and recouping. (I am bad). I am back to stamping with 3 sick kids. Hopefully they will all be well by Aug 25 that is when our school starts back and I plan on them going. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, but with the outside temps at 100 for so long, everyone is getting cabin fever and grouchy.

I have to say the the swaps that I received from our SA swap were by far some of the best. I have them in their own special inspiration box. You all out did yourselves. There was not one that I would have changed something on.

I am not admit to a convention countdown. I will only admit to signing up for the latenightstampers preconvention swap, and I already have my hotel room booked. What?? Doesn't everyone already have their room for next year, or am I just a little bit excited about next year.

Okay, I give in, you win. I promise I will swap with everyone, and make more than this last convention. By the way, one of my suitcases coming home was full of only swaps and weighed 67.5 lbs. Next year, bigger suitcases are needed.

Stacy - my thoughts will be with you tomorrow. Best of luck with it all. What do you do? Something in finances? I used to work in the audit department of my accounting firm creating financial statements.

Stacy,
I'll be thinking of you this morning. I've had so many job changes and frustrations in the past year, I know how upsetting it can be. Hoping your silver lining stays untarnished!

On a crafty note, I have basic gray, I have silver EP, I have access to Amy's blog............I feel some CASEing coming on!

Stacy - Hugs! I know what stress that can be. Sending posititive vibes your way!

The calendar was a challenge for me. I made it one of my goals at convention. My flyer for the first class is almost done...I am waiting for my order today to add a photo or two to the flyer. Then to get started on the next one! I even added some dates to my DBWS this morning. Still working on that though.

Have a great day ladies. Off to have lunch with my birthday boy (DH). And then get home before he see how big my SU order is!

I know, if only I HAD expedited, I would have it by now. But I saved $20 and will have it tomorrow. I can buy six churros at Disneyland for that $20.

Hey, Stacy, another big hug to you! Job stress is so - - - stressful!! I hope your meeting went well this morning - please give us an update!

Having worked in the corporate world of healthcare for, oh, about a hundred years, I've seen good companies and bad ones. And I agree with you - one of the things I love about Stampin' Up is the quality of the company. They listen, they correct their mistakes, oh, I could just go on and on! They are top notch IMO!

And - my order arrived just a few minutes ago! Trying to finish up some paperwork, and then I'm off to play!

Paula, hope your order arrives tomorrow! But I also think you were smart not to expedite, since you live so close!

Hey, Mary Ann, welcome back! Glad you found us!

Thank you everyone. First, on a stamp note, I'm anxiously awaiting my UPS man - I even made Con kill the spider by the front door so that it wouldn't piggyback into my craft room.... Usually UPS is here by 6 but he's probably finding a crane to get my order in.

On the work front, it was an interesting meeting. To answer Amy’s question, I am the recruiting analyst in the recruiting team at Micron - moment for everyone who knows about us to go "ohhhhh...." Okay, now that that is over, it's been a long year being in HR there but I love what I do, there is just too much of it for one person. I used to be in a team of 7 but now it’s only me with most of those responsibilities. I hope we put some effort towards fixing the jobs of all my co-workers that have morphed as people have left the organization. Not sure that is the priority but it should be so we can start doing real analytic and systems work instead of fighting fires around the world with bandaids.

The positive side is that our new systems team is staying together in the new organization and that was what I concerned about. We are a group that truly works together and trusts each other. They are posting the service owner/manager openings for the team so I won't know who I'm reporting to until that role is filled. I'm hoping it's someone in our group already since we are very tight and there are some really strong leaders in there. I'm even thinking I might apply for the new "manager" of our systems team – I’ll wait until I see the job description though. I think our group is made up of people that make things happen and I’m glad the organization recognized that.

Anyhow, I'm sure more venting will come in the next few months but I'm trying to stay positive and optimistic.

My order is here - the UPS guy said he has been delivering SU! boxes all day and most people are waiting for him at the door. I at least met him at the driveway.

Now I know what Rhonda means - so many options I don't know where to start!!!

Um, hello? SWAP, baby! LOL

Come on, you know you all need samples for the Big Shot, right? How 'bout this one? This poor little swap is positively *languishing* for lack of swappers? See it's cute, sad little lip poking out?

Then there's always this one, which is FAB-U-LOUS!

GWTWJunkie's CQ Swap #5 Full cards

Did you think the enabling would go away after Convention????? I love my Convention swaps, but I need just a *few* new catty set swaps, too! Four is still a few, right? <shaking begins again>

Now you've done it Amy! I went ahead and signed up for both swaps. I don't need any more swaps! Except it would be nice to have some that are from the new catalog that aren't Dreams de Jour. (Not that I don't like this set, it's just that I seem to have A LOT from convention with that and Deer Friends).

Anyway, since I've never done a swap in the mail before, can someone help me out with the details. I mail my cards to the hostess with a self addressed stamped envelop included for her to send them back, right. How do you know how much postage to put on the self addressed stamped envelop?

You know what's great about you, Paula? I don't even have to use my subliminal light pink font to hook you. LOL

You take your envelope to the post office *unsealed* and have them weigh it. Then buy two sets of that postage. Can't be metered strips. Put one set on the envie you're sending full of swaps, and the other set on your return envelope. Include a little extra just in case the return postage is higher than what you sent (if people use lots of embellishments or layers or something).

I think there's a sticky in the swap forum that gives a better description, but I don't remember anymore. LOL

Wonderful answer Amy for Paula.

And Amy there you go enabling again...I just might have to look at those postings tomorrow... Here we go again...

I got my box unpacked, but really did not get to play. Had to spend time with DH for his birthday and we got a couple items ticked off the RV to do list.

Night all.

See, my DH is taking off again for four of the next seven weeks including a trip to El Salvador. It might be just the ticket I need to stay sane for the next two months.

So here are my current and only swaps I am doing this fall.

GWTW CQ Swap - Due Sept 1
SA New Catalog Swap - Due Sept 13
SU Sizzix Die Card Front Swap - Due mid Sept
Utah Shoebox/Card Front Swap - Sept 27
SA Christmas Card swap - ?

No more. Don't even tell me about them. I am not listening. LALALALALALALA

Stacy - Not only will I go "OHH" about your employer, I will go "hey, do you know Russell Chase?". He is my husband's cousin and used to work between the Idaho and Lehi, Utah Micron's. Not sure what he does now. My aunt has worked for Micron (now I-Flash?) for a million years in Lehi and it seems they are always going through management changes. Rough industry to be in! But you must be super smart, everyone I know who works for Micron are brainiacs! Glad you're in a group of good people!

Keep us updated!
