a stamping we will go in MA

new alert! DEADLINE!!! please sign up by APRIL 1 so we will know how many to prep for. you might want to prep for one or two extras in case someone has to come but couldn't, for some reason, sign up on time. it's more likely that someone might have to drop out (hey-life happens) but things should balance out and at worst, you'll get to make a couple of extras of your own card!

fee info: see post #131 sort of a special request...

now let's talk about a subject near and dear to me...FOOD! i love the way nola did it so if that's ok w/ you guys, let's do that again. if you're signed up to come, please sign up to bring something. the church has a small kitchen but we're welcome to use it. so there is a stove available for re-heating if necessary. i think a couple of salad type things, chips, drinks, whatever. it's up to you. i'll update here.

and finally; more specific directions:

take rte. 495 to exit 21B. at the bottom of the ramp you will be forced to the right. travel about 3 miles from there and take a right. this is immanuel chapel, a little typical new england church. (it's the first right after the power lines) the address for you map-quest types is 38 hopkinton road, upton, MA. and the church phone number is (508) 529-4468. p.s. i live in a cell-vacuum so your cell phones will NOT work at the church!

HELLO SAVVY STAMPERS! we had such a blast at *a gathering of stampers* in chelmsford (thanx again, nola!) that we just can't wait to do it again! we will be meeting SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 10- 3 OR 4 IN UPTON, MA.I am located 3 miles from rte 495 , exit 21B. it's very easy to get to! you take a right off 495 and that's it! we can meet at my church. there is plenty of room but we will have to limit the group to 25. that's just so we have time to make the cards!

this will be another shoebox swap with all cards being thank-yous, thinking of yous and b'days. NVR BUT PLEASE, QUALITY CARDSTOCK ONLY!!!

fyi: SHOEBOX SWAP is: you design a card (nothing TOO complicated). you cut the pieces and bring the materials (paper, embellishments, stamps, pads) enough for all attendees to copy your card. you won't need to put adhesive in your shoebox because everyone will have her own in her TOOL-KIT. tool-kit should consist of adhesive, bone-folder, scissors, stamp cleaner, and anything else you usually reach for when crafting. (i like to bring my trimmer and both my large and detail scissors.)

sign up in this thread.

yes-any coloring will be at the swap so, yes, you'd have to include colored pencils, chalks, blender pens IN YOUR SHOEBOX if you used them on your card design. but no-you wouldn't have to bring enough pencils for everyone-only one person at a time will be making *your card*

AddictedScrapper 02-21-2008 08:02 AM

Couple questions: does the materials and stamps have to SU? And do we color in the stamps at the swap? If so, then we would have to bring enough coloring pencils/markers for everyone?

Kerry3k 02-21-2008 08:51 AM

Sounds like fun!
Sign me up please....

I would like to come and I need to find where Upton is. I live in Leominster, MA.

I think I brought my son and his friends to play paintball in Upton.

lstyn47 02-23-2008 04:48 PM

kinda silly question, but should we score the card base so it is ready to go?

justannie 02-23-2008 05:21 PM

you may score if you so desire. most stampers bring a bone folder or equivalent but at the last gathering, a couple of people did score (not me, i admit) and i found that to be a very kind and lovely thing to do...but no-one will think less of you if you don't!

lstyn47 02-25-2008 09:43 AM

You know you want to meet more MA stampers!!!

ScrappinGalz 02-25-2008 10:45 AM

lstyn47 02-26-2008 02:26 PM

I see a few questions about stamp sets. SU only? Or are other stamps ok?

Kjpp 02-26-2008 03:15 PM

Other stamp sets are fine! The only thing that Ann asks is we use quality card stock paper!! I just went on a splurge buying some new stamp sets.....wonder what I'll use?????????

PMR 02-26-2008 03:29 PM
