I always read about these great "stamp camps" and classes being offered, but it never seems that there are any around here! Is anyone else from OCNY and interested in getting a group together? Send me a PM if you are interested and maybe we can get a group together once a month. I asked my SU demonstrator, but she said she doesn't have a huge turnout when she offers classes!
carrie-could you explain where orange county is?
my friends here in cny travel far and wide to stamp. and to meet/chat/stamp and of eat with fellow stampers!

I would check at West Point. There are a lot of demos there and around there. I used to live there. One of the top SU demos was there and has a huge DL around there. Go to the demo locator and ask around!

I'm friends with Gayla (snowcountry311) but we don't live near each other. I live in Dutchess County but would be willing to travel to Orange County (if it fits my schedule and my budget - one is busy and the other is empty :(). I don't think I could commit to going each month but I've driven over 200 miles to meet other SCSers (that's how I got to be friends with Gayla and many others in Central NY). So, if it gets set-up where "guests" are allowed I'd like to be kept informed.
Wow, I couldn't believe it when I saw the title for this thread! I live in Sullivan County but work in Middletown! My SU demo does classes pretty frequently but we're on a "break" right now because of the holidays. I'll PM you!
I have classes in my house in Poughkeepsie. The turnout isn't huge - we fit at my dining room table - but decent.
I am watching this because I am interested in doing some more stamping too - not just being the teacher! I love to stamp with others! I missed the CNY gathering b/c I was at regionals, but keeping my eye out for the next one. I am definitely interested in finding my first shoebox stamp/swap!
Of course, if anyone from the west side of the river needs a class to attend, they are welcome to check out my schedule and give me a shout!

Keeping an eye on this thread in hopes I can attend a stamping event (I've been to several but none since February ... bad timing for most the most part.)

I'm hoping to go to Binghamton but life is a bit topsy-turvy (DH's company is closing the location where he works in late 2009/early 2010 ... we will most likely end up moving but where or when is up in the air) so it is hard to make plans.
So, please keep in the loop for any plans made. I love meeting fellow SCSers - and seeing again those I've already met.
